Summary
When Dess Holiday dissapeared from hometown five years ago, everyone had their own theories as to what happened. The simple truth however is that she ran away from home.
Now a university student in Ebott City, Dess has built a life far away from the place she left behind. She tells herself she’s moved on. That she doesn’t need Hometown, and Hometown doesn’t need her. Then a change in her university schedule puts her in the same classroom as someone she thought she’d never see again.
Suddenly, the past she’s spent four years avoiding is sitting right beside her, and keeping her secret becomes harder with every passing day. But guilt has a way of catching up with you, and eventually Dess has to face the people she left behind

Maybe it'll finally let a spark grow that's been here since the start...
Main AU changes: Dreemurr and Holiday families stayed close, Kris and Noelle are best friends, Dreemurr family is still together, Rudy isn't sick.
(Written post chapter 5, where Dessriel is canonised, but not before chapter 6. For this reason, it's an AU where no Knight or Roaring will ever happen as I do not know what will be the outcome nor who for sure the Knight is).
