Summary
Story written for the Rivaere Sovereign Bells Zine in 2023-2024.
The room was rather cozy despite its old-fashioned appearance. The light pine walls added to the brightness of the room coming from the window. A small chest of drawers in one corner was topped by an old-fashioned audio cassette player. On the other side, a tiny bookshelf held a few old books yellowed by time. They contrasted with the whiteness of the new ones: “Welcoming your pup”, “Living your pregnancy as a male omega”, “Natural breastfeeding or powdered milk?” The dresser held clothes suitable for all stages of pregnancy, right down to thick, comfortable protections for post-delivery bleeding. Every blanket, pillow and cuddly toy was soft and reassuring to the touch. Everything was perfectly suited to an omega's senses. Levi was proud that he hadn't forgotten anything, and the alpha in him was preening. But at the same time, he was deeply saddened by the pungent smell of terror that permeated the air of the room. He wished it hadn't come to this, but he’d had no other choice.

Summary
My first TGCF fic, written for the Blades of Beauty zine in early 2024.
"The weather is still mild, and a somewhat unpleasant dampness has settled under Xie Lian's armpits even as he remained motionless, concentrating on his target.
He can see it between the grasses. There it is! That bushy red tail again, but still no snout on the horizon. Too bad. Xie Lian photographs it anyway. There's an air of humour in this shot. Lying flat on his stomach behind his camera, his ears react to the rustle of the grass beside him.
“Gege, did you get it?”These words, spoken in a whisper, make Xie Lian smile.
“Just his tush and tail,” he replies amused, but with his eyes still on the viewfinder.
Xie Lian doesn't need to turn his head to know that San Lang is spending more time watching him than the elusive little red fox hiding in the thicket. It had taken him a long time to realise this, and he had felt very foolish when Shi Qingxuan had practically had to spell it out for him."

Summary

"Lying on his side, Levi watched attentively as his little pup slept peacefully. The rays of daylight illuminating the room didn't seem to disturb her at all. Her little belly swelled and deflated gently to the rhythm of her breaths, her pink lips puckered every now and then. Levi would occasionally clean up a little bubble of saliva.
He never grew tired of looking at her: so adorable, soft and smelling of milk, and as chubby as a baby should be. Lifting one little foot the raven admired the tiny toes. Gods…she was so beautiful it still was hard to believe that it was him who brought her into this world."
Or : several years after the end of the war, Levi gets everything he never thought he could have.

‘Smile like that,’ says Wei Wuxian, in a very how dare you!!!! sort of fashion. ‘How am I supposed to think when I know you can smile like that!’
‘Don’t think,’ Lan Wangji advises.

Wei Wuxian comes back to the Cloud Recesses for the winter months. He and Lan Wangji learn that emotional intimacy and physical intimacy are not (yet) quite synonymous.

Wei Wuxian has certainly hoped so ardently in his two lifetimes, for so many different things, in so many different ways, that he could have summoned the demon to his front door with his bare hands. His eyes wander to Lan Zhan, settle on the back of his head, the blue-black curtain of his hair. Oh, how he has hoped.
