Summary
Mafuyu Kilbrough is a war photographer sent to the Philippines during World War II. Though he left Japan years ago to escape rising tensions, the war brings him back to familiar people. While taking photos on the front lines, Mafuyu unexpectedly reunites with Chiharu- a former classmate. Or more precisely, his illness. Demons are immune to all diseases and sickness except one. The hanahaki disease. The curse cast by Veldanava himself. And who is this lucky (unlucky?) maiden you ask? Why it's the Great Demon Lord Rimuru himself.
For context, hanahaki disease is a disease that is caused by requited love. It makes the person in love incredibly ill (coughing up flower petals and blood) and mostly results in death. In my version though, the cure is a bit different :).
