Summary
Once the glow of the cottage fades and the boys have to head back to the real world, they have to start the long difficult year being separated before Ilya signs with Ottawa. Or at least that was the plan, until Ilya opened his mouth and accidentally got himself traded to Montreal. But it’s fine, just one year for Ilya in Montreal and then their 10 year plan is back on track… Right?
Through their year on the same team, Ilya helps Shane come to terms with the fact that his team kinda sucks, Hayden gets chirped into oblivion but still realizes that maybe Ilya Rozanov isn’t nearly as bad of a guy as he thought, and Hollanov come to terms with a new question they didn’t expect to ask.
Now that they’ve gotten a taste of living together and being on the same team, how are they ever going to give it up?

Summary
Shane’s heart drops into his stomach. “Ilya,” he breathes. His vision goes blurry, throat tight. He tries to swallow it down and focus, shove his swirling thoughts into a neat little box, but it’s impossible. He feels—he might throw up, actually. “Are you seriously telling me you tried to fucking kill yourself?”
“Yes,” Ilya agrees blandly, “It did not work.”
Ilya calls Shane from the hospital. Shane handles it very normally.

“Are we…” Ilya looked around the room again.
“Married? Yes.” Shane answered. Ilya went a bit wide eyed at that admission and gulped.
“I married Shane Hollander?” He pointed to his own chest and said the fact as though he didn’t believe it. “You?” He pointed to Shane.
Shane smirked, “Yeah, years ago now. If that’s okay with you.”~
A look into the future of married hockey legends Ilya and Shane in retirement over the course of one week. Shane navigating and dealing with the unpredictability that is Ilya's brain issues and how love (and future medical advances) may conquer all.

“Hollander?” Ilya’s voice cracked. His heart was hammering away at his ribcage, threatening to break free.
“I’m— I’m sorry,” Hollander croaked, Ilya could hear the tears in his voice. “I just want to hear your voice.”
“What’s going on?” Ilya started to register the other noises in the background, the noises he’d brushed off as typical city noise. It sounded like people were screaming.Or what if Shane ends up in a plane emergency after tuna melt gate

What do you get for your (relatively) newly minted boyfriend who has everything he wants?
Shane was a multi millionaire and yet wasn’t a materialistic person. He didn’t give a shit about designer clothes or sports cars or smart mansions or anything the average millionaire professional hockey player was preoccupied with.”

"Never have I ever checked out my teammates in the locker room." Comeau said, looking directly at him.
Shane left his beer exactly where it was and met Comeau's gaze without saying a word, waiting for someone else to break the silence, because surely that had to have been a joke.
"Come on, Cap. It's no fun if you're just gonna lie." Drapeau let out with a quiet snort.
Shane frowned, genuinely confused. "What?"
"You really expect us to believe you've never taken a peek at us in the showers?"

Summary
After Scott Hunter comes out on national TV, Ilya wants nothing more than to go to Shane's cottage and figure out a way to make their relationship work. Too bad he broke things off and blocked Shane after the Montreal/Boston game that sent Shane to the hospital. Upon discovering that Shane has blocked him back, Ilya decides to show up at the cottage and win his Hollander back.
Snippet:
“Jane would not block me,” Ilya insisted again, even as his chest constricted with uncertainty. Ilya Rozanov did not get blocked, especially by pretty, pouty, freckled Canadians who meant everything.
Marleau threw his hands out in helpless surrender, Ilya’s glare fierce enough to send him scurrying from the kitchen. Ilya waited a beat before carefully tapping Shane’s contact to call. He held his breath, heart sinking to the pit of his stomach as it rang once and connected to voicemail. Clenching his jaw, he hung up and tried again. Then one more time, torment ripping through his already tattered heart. This time when it connected, he left a message. Short, sweet, and full of intention even if Shane wouldn’t hear it. “I’m coming to the cottage.”

Summary
In room 1410, Ilya Rozanov is ready to walk out the door after successfully getting his 19 year old hockey rival into bed. He knew how to make this moment happen and he knows what they have to be to each other now that it's over. But as he turns the doorknob to leave, he's stopped with questions he never expected. And giving Shane Hollander what he needs in that moment will change everything.
I note which chapters are SFW vs NFSW, because many of you said knowing meant the difference between reading this on your lunch break or having to wait. (Thank you for wanting to read my work that much.)
Covers the first two years of their rookie seasons (which is mostly skipped over in the show/books). Canon divergent from the first hookup seen in HR s01ep01. Most things are from the show but the timeline is a mix of both; Hunter and Marleau are aged up per the show instead of as young as they are in the books. (Also, Shane and Ilya don't wait *two years*, they stick to the book timeline. IYKYK.)
Please note this will the first in a series; you can subscribe to the whole series as well so you don't miss anything :)

Summary
“We, uh, Brian and I, that is. We decided to open up the relationship.”
“Okay?” Ilya says, voice flat. “What is that?”
Hollander shrugs. His posture has gone stiff again. “It. It means we’re still together, but we can also like...see other people. Or not see, because we’re not dating anyone else but, uh. Fuck. Fuck other people.”
Oh.
“And this is why you texted me?” Ilya asks.
In a way, it’s almost better. Hollander and his boyfriend breaking up and Ilya reaping the rewards would be enjoyable. Ilya having to work for that reward himself, getting the chance to fuck Hollander so good he forgets all about that loser who attached himself to him like a parasite before he was old enough to know better?
Well. Ilya loves a challenge.
