Summary
Mike's grip on Will's throat loosens and he can’t help the way he gasps, gulping down air as his fingers curl in Mike’s stupid Falling in Reverse tee. He can feel him panting against his neck, his nose bumping against the tender bite mark there.
“Get that out of your system?” Mike huffs, nosing his way up Will’s neck. “Gonna be on your best behaviour on this tour, right?”
Will lets his eyes flutter shut despite himself, his stomach twisting at Mike’s words.
“No promises.”
Or; now that school's out for summer, the Demodogs set out on a dive bar tour. On the road, Mike and Will's relationship becomes (more) complicated.

Summary
The thought should scare him, it should make Mike recoil, but instead a rush of sick excitement thrums in his veins. He thinks of Will, belly swollen in his paint stained overalls, walking around barefoot and pregnant and glowing. He would be such a good mom too – he’s always been good with kids, amazing with Holly, has those Omega maternal instincts.
He thinks of a pup with Will’s big hazel eyes reaching up a chubby fist to grab Will’s lop ears, to soothe themselves with chocolate brown fur the way Mike has done himself so many times. He thinks of a permanent softness staying in Will’s hips, a flushed and full chest to feed their child.
Or; Will is about to leave for New York and Mike finds a way to make him stay.

Logically, Mike knows what he’s doing is weird. Somewhere, deep in the back of his mind he knows it. Still, he tells himself that it’s normal. That he is normal. That stealing a box of his best friend’s clothes labeled ‘donate’ in black marker and keeping it firmly hidden in the back of his closet was something any normal person would do. It wasn’t weird, anyone else would do the same!
And who could blame him? Mike has been surrounded by Will for as long as he can remember. They’re close! Mike cares about Will, always has. The urge to protect him, to take care of him, was so instinctual even before Mike had presented as an alpha. They were a pair, always together, attached at the hip until… well, until recently but Mike was going to work on that! He really was!
And now the Byers have moved to Lenora. To fucking California and Mike feels like he’s lost a limb.

“You should’ve seen the way you ran in here, man. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you move so fast.” His roommate takes a long pull of the joint dangling in his fingers. “You’re fuckin’ whipped, bro.”
Mike knows he looks stupid, unable to control the way his eyebrows furrow and his lips curl in complete confusion. Then his roommate rolls his eyes and makes a gesture like he’s cracking a whip, complete with sound effect. His cheeks heat up, the realization suddenly dawning on him.
He thinks Mike was on the phone to his girlfriend.
He thinks Mike has a girlfriend.
He thinks that Will is Mike’s girlfriend.
Everyone at college thinks Mike has a girlfriend. There's just one problem. The 'girlfriend' in question is Will Byers. Mike's best friend. Platonic with a capital P. He's so screwed.

Summary
They’ve been doing this for long enough now; this sort of free use friends with benefits thing that they never speak about.
There’s something sort of addictive about it, for Will. Something that helps to numb the jealousy he feels about Mike dating Jane, because it’s Will he’s fucking on the down-low, and it’s halfway toward everything Will has ever wanted.
Or: Will Byers is no angel. So when he and Mike start this thing between them even though Mike is dating Jane, Will is helpless to do anything but let it happen.
But it’s not cheating if they’re best friends, right? Right??????

“You new?”
The question startles Will badly enough that he almost drops the Bordeaux glass in his hands. “Oh.” He blinks once, recovering smoothly. “Uh. No, n-not really.”
Mike glances over from the coffee machine then, like he’s looking for the answer instead of just making polite conversation. Something about the look makes Will aware of every inch of himself; his sleeves now rolled to his forearms, the loosened tie at his throat, the way his vest pulls tight across his hips when he leans against the counter like this.
“I’ve been here like…” Will clears his throat. “Almost six months.”

Mike turns around and sees Will standing in the middle of the hallway and stops.
"Hey," he says. "Can I help you find something?"
His voice in person is slightly different from the radio. This is the version before the edit. Louder, and a little breathless from arguing, and entirely unaware of how often Will had listened to him.
"I'm here about a logo commission," Will says. He sounds, he thinks, almost normal. Even with his brain operating at half-capacity.
Mike's eyebrows go up in surprise. "We're getting a new logo?"

Mike looks at him like he’s lost his mind. “Will.”
“It’s twenty bucks.”
“Which could be spent on pizza.”
“Or,” Will says, already grinning despite himself, “we could let an ancient mystical woman predict our horrible futures.”
Mike stares at him for exactly two seconds before sighing dramatically and giving into Will like he always does.
“You’re impossible.”
OR: Mike and Will drunkenly decide to pay for a psychic reading that somehow changes everything between them.
