Summary
“Wait a minute, what’s on the front?” The suspicious glint in Hen’s eyes makes Buck’s cheeks flush.
He turns it slowly toward them, his gaze flickering from each of their faces to gauge their reactions. He doesn’t really know why he’s suddenly embarrassed, but his voice comes out a little shaky when he says, “Kiss The Chef.”
The reactions are immediate: Hen bursts into laughter, Harry squeezes his face as if trying to stop himself from joining, Chim snorts, and Eddie's just staring at it- the pink on his cheeks returning even darker than before.
OR: Buck gets a new apron; Eddie takes it very seriously.

Eddie starts giving Buck gold star stickers for doing basic responsible-adult things.
Buck complains about it constantly.
He also keeps every single one.
Then Christopher and Theo get involved, the whole thing gets wildly out of hand, and Buck discovers that apparently fifty gold stars gets you an Eddie.

Summary
Christopher calls Buck Dad by accident.
It shouldn’t be a big deal. Buck knows he isn’t Christopher’s father, Christopher knows exactly who his dad is, and Eddie knows better than anyone how much Buck loves his kid.
Except Eddie can’t stop thinking about it.
And when he tells Buck he doesn’t want Christopher “getting into the habit” of calling him Dad, he manages to turn one accidental word into a fight, piss off both Buck and Christopher, and force himself to finally think about why hearing Buck called Dad bothered him so much in the first place.
Turns out Christopher isn’t the one confused about what Buck is to their family.

Summary
The thing about Eddie's eyes is that sometimes they do this thing where they lock onto Buck’s, his gaze piercing him in such an invasive yet comfortable way. Buck’s sure that if someone tried to touch either one of them while they’re having their silly staring contests, something would get broken forever. He likes Eddie’s stare - he likes to find it after a hard call, saying so much with so many words unspoken, feeling almost like a hug, or a soft brush of fingers on his forearm. Although the intensity of the stare has always been a mystery to Buck, he grew to crave it when it's been gone for too long.
