More than any of his siblings, Aemond brought to mind his father. Or perhaps it was Daemon whose likeness he bore, in looks and character. And yet, this boy betrayed nothing of Daemon’s boisterousness. Where Viserys’s brother had reportedly celebrated the demise of his brother’s firstborn son, Gwayne had still to discover such vindictiveness in Aemond – even in the halls of the Red Keep, no one had spoken of boasts of the young Velaryon’s death, or callous remarks on the murdered heir. He simply watched, and waited. The question was, what for?
