Someone familiar falls into a world that is not their own, as the story always goes. Another's path of vengeance left it bitter and broken in ways unknowable, leaving the next to pick up the pieces.
Will they manage with the cards stacked against them, in a world with no real escape?
Only time will tell.
(Though, maybe not. They're pretty tired, and the ghost in their head isn't exactly helping.)

They aren't. Really, you have to believe them, they're not.
They're just in a nerve-wracking situation, because they think their partner is deeply, deeply charming and they have to kind of stew in the knowledge that they want to spend their life with them.
And yes, that was established information! It's just really hitting hard right now, and they have to figure it out before they explode!
