Somehow, everything on that one Wednesday lined up perfectly to test Steve’s patience and dignity. His dad was hosting a work party downstairs, a crowd of people below him that he didn’t have the social battery to present himself to. And unfortunately enough, it was also a Wednesday, the day Steve had promised Eddie to be his ‘feeding’ day. Had it slipped Steve’s mind as to what day it was? Yes. Was Eddie Munson now dangling from his roof, trying desperately to get into his room and sink his teeth in Steve’s neck? Also yes.

Steve has to stay insanely quiet as Eddie feeds off him because there’s fifty people on the floor below him. One thing leads to another and Eddie and Steve end up going at it which makes it 10000% harder for Steve to stay quiet. Anywho,, I’m gonna go drown myself in holy water FML

Summary
Once the Upside Down is sealed, Eddie’s hunger is entirely his own, sharp edges smoothing into something heavier, entirely human in its greed. Heat pools in his icy veins, and he starts to test it, just a little, never one to leave interesting things alone. There’s an undeniable undercurrent of lust to the whole thing, especially when he lets his grip linger, draws the moment out, murmurs Steve’s name and bites his bicep instead, starts feeding from his neck and never goes back, dreams about sinking his fangs into the meat of Steve’s thighs, of being completely surrounded by his warmth.
He learns to drink more slowly, to savor the way Steve clings to him, and is surprised when Steve crawls into Eddie’s lap one night and doesn’t ever offer his wrist again. Eddie delights in how he softens the more he takes, the more Steve offers, like being needed is a balm instead of a burden.
It’s intoxicating in a way blood alone never could be.
It’s how Steve acts in the aftermath, though — how he lingers, how dazed his eyes are, the softening of his shoulders — that keeps Eddie coming back for more.
OR: Eddie needs blood to survive. Steve loves to volunteer.

"I have an update on Slovenia," she told him, and he stopped breathing. "Things have calmed down. The BSAA left three days ago, and since then local forces have moved in and now have the facility fully secured."
Three days...
He'd promised he would let him know that he wasn't dead. They'd both promised. One word, 'safe', or 'done'. Meetings and de-briefings and other hold-ups be damned. He'd always texted him on the transport back. An icy fear snaked through him.
"Casualties?"
"None reported."
The fear abated, quickly replaced by relief. But it was short-lived as something sharp and hot and burning bubbled up within him.
"Leon?"
"I'll call you back."
(Five times the people closest to them realize, plus one time they both realize for themselves).

Summary
Chris stares, his mind working to catch up. Leon had first approached him about trying this a while ago, and they’d done it a handful of times for fun since. Looking at Leon now, though, he knows this time will be different, and he tamps down on a flare of uncertainty.
“How long do you wanna go?” he asks, wanting to confirm, to make sure it’s really what Leon wants.
There's a flicker of hesitation on the other's face, but it's quickly gone and replaced with heated determination.
“Until I can’t take it anymore.”
After a tough mission, Chris tracks Leon down and helps him work out his frustrations (via edging, obviously).

Chris twirls his pen between his fingers and he sighs again. “You know I don’t care about that. I’ll meet him soon enough.”
Jill puts her hands on his desk and leans over it to get in his personal space. Her smile is mischievous and positively gleeful.
“Even when he’s exactly your type?” she whispers with amusement.
“I don’t have a type,” Chris argues, even though he knows that they both know he does.
As if on cue, Jill leans back and begins counting on her fingers as she speaks; “Really? Soft blonde hair, delicate features, big innocent baby blue doe eyes, a sweet smile…”
Chris can’t help imagining what the rookie must look like from Jill’s description, and damn if that doesn’t make for a pretty picture.

The world goes a little wobbly, funny at the edges. His feet are not cooperating, extremely ungraceful in their movement, but he’s being shuffled toward what he imagines is the door. “Oooh, big, strong man,” Leon says out loud. He wishes he hadn’t, but when he finally chances shifting his eyes upward to finally find Chris’ face, he thinks that Chris might be blushing.
