Summary
His brain was muddled with panic, the only coherent thought being run, run, run, get away! as he tried to put as much distance between him and what— who— was following him as possible. No one was supposed to see him leave. He thought he had been careful!
He could hear the sound of big paws hammering the ground coming from behind him; his pursuer was steadily gaining on him. He chanced a quick glance over his shoulder only for his throat to seize up in panic when he saw how close the big grey wolf chasing him had gotten already.
He urged his own paws to work impossibly harder, faster, to get him away, but he had already been pushing his limits before. It already felt like the muscles of his limbs were being torn open because of the work they were being put through.
And then he stumbled.

Summary
There’re a few seconds of silence, and when he glances up, he sees Jack staring at him with slightly widened eyes and the barest hints of pink dusting his cheeks. An endeared smile takes over his face and he lets out a small, amused laugh, reaching out and clasping Joke’s hand. His fingers are warm. Joke brings them to his lips, kissing the back of Jack’s knuckles gently. He turns the hand over to press a featherlight kiss to the inside of his wrist before tightening his grip and tugging. Jack goes along and lets himself be pulled closer, closer, closer until they’re chest to chest and breathing the same air.
This story was written for the month of January in the Year of the OTP Event 2025, using the prompt "may I have this dance".

The insistence in Joke’s voice finally cuts through the haziness of sleep that had been clinging to Jack. He sits up slowly and rubs his eyes. “What?”
”It’s snowing.”
Jack pauses, one hand still pressed against his eye. Snow? Surely, he didn’t hear that correctly. He lets the hand drop slowly. ”Huh?”
”It’s snowing, Jack.” Joke turns away from the window he had been facing, a slightly crazed look in his eyes. ”How the fuck is it snowing in Thailand?”

Summary
Bison pulls at Kant’s shirt almost forcefully, and it quickly gets haphazardly discarded somewhere on the floor. The leather of the tattoo chair creaks quietly as Kant adjusts and leans back more. The material feels cool against his naked skin. His eyes slip closed, and he sighs shakily as Bison finds a spot near his collarbone to abuse. His kisses keep trailing south, and Kant gasps and bites back a moan when a tongue flicks over his nipple. He opens his eyes just enough to look down and see Bison looking up with a teasing smirk, and that’s all the warning Kant gets before Bison latches on, and wow, the way he moves his tongue should be illegal. It’s a mix of sucking and biting and licking and pulling, and pain and pleasure dance along Kant’s skin. Kant feels dizzy with want, and Bison looks downright sinful with his wet and reddened lips and his swirling tongue.
Or, the one where that tattoo chair gets to see some things again.

“I’d never do anything to jeopardize our safety on a job! You know that Hen.”
“Maybe not on purpose,” Chim chimes in, “but, see, the thing is, when you flirt with our Buck, his brain turns off. He just bluescreens.”
“You’re flustering the poor boy, Eddie,” Hen adds. “And it’s making him dumb.”
“-er,” Chim adds.
“Wha- Buck isn’t flustered.”
Eddie is flustered. His face feels hot. He takes another sip of his coffee to give his hands something do to, but that only makes him feel warmer. Shit.
Hen levels him with the most deadpan look. “Last week he walked into a stop sign after you called him ‘big boy’ on a call.”
Eddie nearly spits out his coffee.
Or: the one where Eddie subconsciously flirts with Buck without realizing and Buck is actively trying not to have a heart attack at work about it

Summary
“Asked me if I was the Chinese food delivery guy on my first day.” Chim contributed in a whisper, like he was afraid Buck might wake up and hear. Maybe he felt disloyal admitting it now. It was no secret to anyone paying attention how much Chim loved Buck, even if he often pretended to be exasperated with him.
Hen nodded solemnly. “One of the many people who wouldn’t even acknowledge me when I started.”
It was news to Eddie, and apparently Ravi too, but not Cap, who resolutely stared down at the table in front of him, shaking his head.
“Oh, so he fucking sucks.” Ravi contributed casually, never one to pull punches with his thoughts.
No one responded, but the agreement was in the air.

Summary
“Someone referred to me as your wife the other day.” Buck started.
Eddie choked on air. His cheeks were so pink. Why did he blush like that? Buck was paler than him, and yet somehow he didn’t blush anywhere near as hard as Eddie himself did.
“Do you think of me as your old ball and chain?” Eddie asked, going along with the joke despite the frankly upsetting colour of his cheeks. How was this Buck looking in love with him? Obviously they were comfortable with each other, but still.
Buck gasped, his eyes big, his back straightening out as he got ready to fight with God himself on this topic. Eddie knew immediately the rant he had started, Buck’s mockingly serious voice raising as he stared Eddie down intently.
“I would never refer to my wife as the old ball and chain. You don’t hold me down, you pick me up, you dirty little bitch. You’re the wind beneath my wings. God.”
