Returning to the monastery without Lloyd was a blow for everyone, a truth still too hard to grasp, but above all too illogical for Jay to accept. Touching the Weapon of Desolation had made him disappear without warning, without a body, and Jay had a reason to believe he wasn't truly dead. Only, this belief created a difficult atmosphere around the Monastery, distance and arguments, without considering the weight words can carry... But Jay is convinced, and no one could take that away from him, even if it meant not showing up to the funeral.

Summary
He'd glimpsed them vaguely around the Monastery, when Jay had agreed to occupy one of the rooms while his leg healed, and they seemed to avoid him like the plague. Then, when Jay emerged fresh from the Administration with new, old, memories of himself and more, even though he was no longer that bounty hunter, the unfamiliar, uncomfortable, glances never stopped flickering towards him. Especially those of the two kids, whose names he didn't know, but only that Cole acted like a parent for them.
OR: Jay with Fritz & Spitz finally interacting before he officially proclaim himself they're uncle.

Summary
Cliff Gordon's ego had always been higher than his head. He loved his wife, but the being inside her womb had created a conflict in his mind. He would learn to love his newborn, though perhaps it would be too late when he realized his mistakes as a parent.
Despite this, his love for his son would later become an obsession when he discovered the person Jay had become through the screens.

Summary
Life in the Administration had never changed from what he could remember, with only an apathy for the place, that clashed with a sense of guilt for not feeling grateful enough for a place that chose to welcome him when he had nothing, not even his memories. Any secret hobbies or friendships within, however, didn't seem to satisfy his boredom, until one day when, in Mysterium, after being bothered by a strange floating light, he made the most adrenaline-fueled decision of his life.
Running away had healed something in Jay, but he had no idea that finding a strange tiger before his eyes, with completely unfounded promises, would do the unthinkable for the amnesiac's mind later on.
Or; Narrating, or sometimes lightly retelling for some points on Jay's arc—temporarily not yet concluded—that has unfolded, and is still unfolding during Dragon Rising, with the intent of better analyzing or filling in the spaces that they haven't given us momentarily yet or that we will never see in the show about Jay.
