Summary
Oscar learned early on that everything depended solely on him to hold together. His father's decline. His stepmother's sanity. The finances of an entire household. And, more important than anything else combined, the health and safety of his two younger brothers, who he loved more than life itself. He learned, at an unfairly young age, that nobody else was going to step in to help him do any of it.

Summary

He was as handsome as the last time Ranulf had seen him, leaving the Tower of Guidance, a champion with flinty eyes and broad shoulders, his head held high in spite of everything he’d seen. He had always cut an impressive figure, like a hero from a storybook. Beorc or laguz, it made no difference. Ike had always stood apart.
He did not come alone. There was Titania, with her vibrant red hair, and Mist, standing by her brother’s side.
