Summary
Buck has been studying every spare second he has to prepare for the lieutenant's exam, and he's finally run himself into the ground.
When he gets home from a particularly long day, Eddie decides enough is enough and finally puts his foot down and insists Buck lets Eddie take care of him.
Meaning he makes sure Buck eats, showers, and gets some sleep.
And if he needs to feel the weight of Eddie's cock in his mouth for a while in between, Eddie'll make sure he does that too.
—————————
Eddie leans forward until their foreheads touch, and keeps his voice soft and small as he says, “Then let me take care of you tonight.”
Buck closes his eyes, and his breath shudders in his chest as he asks, “How?”
Eddie lightly traces the pad of his thumb over Buck’s bottom lip, smiling when he sees the way Buck’s eyes widen ever so slightly. “We could always put this mouth to use. I know having something in your mouth helps to ground you.”

Summary
The Jurassic World was famous for being the best family fun park, finally beating the Disneyland at it. It was the only place that Christopher ever wanted to visit, as long as Eddie could remember. So, when they were finally able to afford the trip to Isla Nublar to get a glimpse of a prehistoric world, they didn't waste a second before sending Christopher and Denny there - with Eddie as a chaperone. And it would've been the best holiday of their lives, if only the deadliest dinosaur to ever live didn't decide to escape its cage that day.
Or: the Diazes and the Wilsons decide to send their boys to a dinosaur park. It happens right at the same time the new genetically modified dinosaur decides to escape its containment to tear the island apart. Coincidentally, it also happens to be the incident that introduces Eddie to the love of his life

“Eddie watched - discreetly - as Buck’s lips got pinker, swelling up just enough to confirm his theory.
“Buck. I think you’re allergic to pineapple.”
Buck blinked up at him before starting to chew faster, like he was worried Eddie was just gonna yoink the piece he was already eating away. “No I’m not.”
“Buck, is your tongue tingling again?”
“...No.””
Sometimes love is stored in the pineapple Eddie keeps having to slap out of Buck's hand

Summary
Buck doesn't even glance at the TV, he doesn't give a fuck about that game or any other. He does however, give a big fuck about Eddie. About how Eddie’s position on their leather couch is practically an invitation— signed, stamped, and addressed to one Evan Buckley requesting his timely RSVP to Eddie’s lap. Who is Buck to ignore this offer, practically gift wrapped for him. Even if Eddie is unaware he’s sending it, Buck is always grateful for any opportunity to be close to him, especially to curl up in his lap and be as Chim once called it, ‘one of those big dogs who still thinks they’re small’.

Summary
Buck cautiously peers into the small opening, catching a glimpse of Eddie staring at himself in the mirror, fingers gripping the edge of the porcelain sink as he shakes his head and says, “I can’t believe I’m in love with a Buckley.”
It's a miracle Buck doesn’t pass out on the spot.
He takes a stumbling step back into Eddie’s room, somehow managing to close the door quietly in his haze. Although it’s entirely possible that he just slammed it because he can’t hear anything over the whooshing in his ears.
He doesn’t know how he didn’t see it before.
Eddie is in love with Maddie.

"What is this…?"
"I don't know, Chimney calls it 'Maddie's Special drink.' I tasted it, and it's quite sweet! You'll definitely love it." Karan says with a wide grin.
In his hand is a small shot glass with pink and yellow layers blended beautifully together. He can even see fine glitter shimmering in the drink.
Eddie decides to start with a tiny sip just to taste. It’s sweet and sour—resembling a fruity cocktail that Eddie secretly loves. Delighted by the flavor, he downs the rest in one swift gulp, only to feel a fiery burn hit his throat as if he’s just swallowed pure vodka.

Summary
Eddie Diaz would never admit to anyone, not even himself, that he’d been watching the same cam boy on repeat since moving from El Paso to LA. If anyone ever found out, he’d tell them he only watched to listen to his voice.
Except that would be wrong.
And incorrect.
The problem is, Eddie’s noticed that his best friend’s butt is looking a little too familiar, and the name ‘Firehose’ is ringing a bell that’s a little too close to home.
It’s been seven years. How the hell is he supposed to confess to Buck that he’s been watching him through a screen and doing a lot more than just watching?

"You think you’re dreaming.”
Eddie hesitates, sitting back down slowly. “I am dreaming.”
“Ah!” Buck says, blue eyes wide. “Or— or maybe you’re not. Maybe this is just a-a different life.”
“A different life?” Eddie frowns. “What?”
“You know,” Buck insists, “like, you went to sleep and you woke up somewhere else, in a different version of your life. And— and to get back, you probably have to do something.”
“Like a— a parallel universe?”

"What do we have?" Eddie asks eventually, swinging his gaze over to Buck.
"What?" Buck rolls his shoulders back, posture stiffening.
"You told Maddie that you could understand Tommy being threatened by what we have," Eddie says slowly. "So I just wondered what that is?"

Or, after Eddie finds out about Buck's ill-advised backslide with his ex while he was away in Texas, Buck and Eddie get into it while making dinner. And then again after dinner. They have a lot to sort out, okay?

“Buckkkk,” Eddie whines before plopping himself in Buck’s lap. “There’s a stuffed golden retriever in a little firefighter outfit in the giant claw machine game, and I want him! You’re better at those games, so win him for me!” Maddie watches them with sparkling eyes.
“Okay, Eds,” Buck chuckles nervously. “Let’s go.”
Eddie hops up off Buck’s lap only to grab his hand and drag him away.

Summary
When Eddie and Christopher return to Los Angeles, Buck hands over the keys to the house with a tight smile and a casual, “Place is yours again, man,” as if moving out hadn't quietly broken something inside him.
What Eddie doesn't know is that Buck never actually found a new place.
For months, Buck has been living out of his Jeep, keeping his belongings in a storage unit and pretending everything is fine. He still shows up to work, still jokes with the team, still makes time for Eddie and Christopher, but he refuses to let anyone see just how badly he's struggling.
Eventually, Eddie starts to notice the cracks.
And when the truth finally comes out, so does everything Buck has been carrying since the funeral, including the belief that Eddie's grief-stricken words in the kitchen afterwards were proof that he was simply too much for the people he loves.
But Eddie isn't going to let Buck believe that anymore.
Because Buck isn't a burden. He isn't a failure. And he certainly isn't sleeping in his Jeep another night.
He's home.
And this time, Eddie intends to make sure he knows it.

“I thought you wanted to get back out there.” He shoves at his shoulder lightly. “Meet people, pretty girls,” he adds, voice tilting on the last part like it’s supposed to be enticing.
“No,” Eddie counters. “You said that.”
“Well the pretty girls aren't for me. They're for you.”
Eddie shakes his head, frustration creeping into his voice, though there’s no real heat in it. “I don’t want the pretty girls, Buck.” Buck’s face twists with confusion, eyebrows drawing together like he’s trying to solve a puzzle. Before Eddie can stop himself, he hears his own voice say, “I've got a pretty girl right here.”

He's lying to everyone, and getting off as he does.
Eight months after their trip to Nashville and the life changing road trip that followed, not much has changed. Eddie has a girlfriend. He also has Buck.

Summary
“Buck, seriously.” Eddie catches his eye, staring intently, attempting to beam the anxiety straight into Buck’s brain. “I know we’re both playing it cool, but… How are you not freaking out right now? I’m freaking out right now.”
Buck quirks an eyebrow. “I thought you didn’t panic.”
“I don’t,” Eddie insists. “But I woke up in the wrong body this morning, and I had to—” He lowers his voice, ducking closer to Buck. “I touched your dick, man. Which—you know.”
A violation of boundaries. A line that can’t be uncrossed. Something Eddie feels deeply guilty about.
“You touched my dick?” Buck asks, approximately one billion decibels louder than necessary.
The room around them stills.
Or: Buck and Eddie switch bodies. Chaos ensues.
