Summary
“You, a descendant of Lúthien and me, a relic of Fëanor. Aman’s beauty does not compel us, we spurn it and seek solace elsewhere. But we will find it so unbearable, the thought that Aman might go on being beautiful without us,” he picks small leaves and twigs out of her hair. “A child will put his hand into my favourite pond and feel a fish turn beneath his fingers. The rain will drum softly upon a roof we have never seen, and someone will open the harbour door because the air smells of the sea. We will have no claim upon any of it. We will not even know what we have missed. And still, here beneath the mallorn, with the night insects ticking in the grass and the leaves moving above us, you and I find that for different reasons entirely, we have both chosen an unbearable proximity to the world whose losses we know most deeply, having had a hand in them ourselves.”

Summary
“You son of a bitch,” Daniel spat. “You just wanted to see me run to you, didn’t you?”
“No, Daniel.” Such a low, measured voice from such a small throat. “The plane arrived earlier than expected. The sun only set moments ago.”
“Ah, but you’re still enjoying it, aren’t you?”
Armand said nothing. Hadn’t Daniel noticed the still-darkening sky as the plane descended? No, she was too lost in the disorientation of it— in the rush in every sinew of her body as she hurtled closer and closer to her little death. And here it was at last.

Summary
ISO: Carer to look after my father for 8 weeks this summer.
Dad is 71, early stage Parkinson’s disease, broke his hip 6 weeks ago. No signs of cognitive decline; mostly needs help with household tasks (cooking, light cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping), getting dressed, showering, changing cat litter/general cat care, getting to and from appointments.
Please know what you are getting into; Dad is physically more or less in good health but awful at accepting his limitations, unnecessarily mean, generally uncooperative, and largely nocturnal. Imagine yourself caring for a feral raccoon that is convinced it’s going to write another book, then subtract everything that is cute about raccoons.
$20/hour, roughly 4 hours a day. Must be able to pass a background check and lift 50 lbs. Patience of a saint not required but preferred.- Language:

Fandom Interview with the Vampire (TV 2022), The Magnus Archives (Podcast), Vampire Chronicles Series - Anne Rice
08 Jun 2026
Summary
Wouldn't it be fun to have the Talamasca and the Magnus Institute operate in the same universe? I think it would be fun.
This is a series of statement fics of people who encountered Rice's vampires over the years, and who decided to come to the Magnus Institute to give a statement about their experiences. Knowledge of the Magnus Archives isn't necessary for IWTV fans to enjoy it - any characters from TMA who do appear are only there to listen and do some light investigating. Set in the IWTV/TVL show canon.
