Taeyang's voice was teasing, leaning against the doorframe as he watched Jongseob work. "You look like a fucking furry."
Jongseob paused, the brown liner cap suspended between his lips, his gaze darting over to the door from his spot on the bathroom counter. His eyes, dark and rounded from contacts, squinted at the intruder.
"It's a metaphor, asshole," he corrected, his voice slightly muffled. He finished the wing of his eyeliner and pulled the pen away, running his tongue over one of his lip rings. "Whatever, I can't believe I'm letting you guys drag me out, I have a fucking midterm this week, and I can't afford to fail it-"

Summary
Soul never wanted to move to Alexandria. Nothing ever happens there. The town is cold, worn down, and full of the kind of people who know everything about everyone before you even get the chance to introduce yourself. After their parents disappear and are eventually declared dead, Soul and his older brother, Keeho, are forced to move back into their late aunt’s old house with barely enough money to survive.
Then there’s Kim Jongseob the mayor’s son with bright blonde hair, a carefully built reputation, and more pressure on his shoulders than anyone seems to notice. Soul meets him by accident, first in a record store and then again inside the school’s darkroom, where the silence between them somehow feels easier than words ever could.
As the two grow closer, old grief, family expectations, rumors, and buried secrets begin pulling at both of them from every direction. Because in Alexandria, nothing stays hidden forever and sometimes the quietest people carry the loudest things inside them.
