    “Ugly,” Tommy spat. Paused. Then, “Uh, he’s always in green. Usually. Real shit shade of it, too, all garish. And he’s got this smile–” Tommy drew the large grin with his fingers, brushing all the way up his cheekbones, painted on Dream’s mask.

    Hood’s whole body had gone stiff. Simmering with rage. He’d stopped walking, frozen in the street, and Tommy eyed him warily from the corner of his eye.

    Or: Tommy died to Dream’s hands in an unforgiving obsidian cell and woke up in Gotham.

    Now he’s trying to figure out where he is and why the hell these people in costumes seem so concerned about him.

    Tommy is Borrower; the greatest, most magnificent supervillain in L'manberg, who is running the whole city, hell- the whole country amok with his glorious powers!
    Tommy is also number eleven on the most wanted villain list. Which needs to be updated, immediately.

    Or; Tommy is a villain called Borrower who can steal powers for a limited amount of time. This is his journey through becoming the number one villain, finding himself a family, defeating a brainwashing Egg, and overthrowing a corrupt Government for one of his acquaintances, while also running the adored Waffle House of the city at sixteen years old.

    It was surprisingly hard to keep a vigilante presence off the radar.
    Somehow, it was when Tommy was using his identity that could literally turn invisible, that he’d been almost immediately clocked by the heroes. He’d really only been just starting to have a presence when the heroes cornered him about it. Surprisingly, instead of attempting arrest, they’d recruited him. And who was he to say no to free access to the hero database and nice bathrooms?
    One power per secret identity, that was his rule, and he still had a couple more up his sleeve. The heroes could have one. As a treat. He was generous like that. He’d just take more care to keep his other identities off the radar.
    Simple.
    If only things worked out as planned. Somehow, it hadn’t taken long for his next vigilante persona to be noticed as well, though not by heroes this time.
    “I hear you talk to ghosts.” Said a deadpan voice.

    Tommy can't help wanting to help, and he keeps getting powers so why not have more than one secret identity, yeah? Hero, vigilante, villain, coffee barista, and maybe one other.

    Or I read so, so many vigilante fics that I caved in and stuffed all of my ideas into one fic.
