La cabeza de Azirafel sube, sus ojos ardiendo y Crowley tiene exactamente dos segundos para pensar, oh, joder—
En un inquietantemente movimiento familiar, Azirafel cruza por el suelo, lo coge por las solapas de la chaqueta y le da un beso desesperado.
Crowley titubea durante tres segundos antes de devolverle el beso, la angustia y el dolor abriendo paso a un placer profundo y a una rectitud.

Summary
Qué cosa tan horrible, ser un ángel y estar tan aterrorizado por el amor puro presionado a sus labios y haber rechazado el corazón asustado, vulnerable que Crowley le ofreció. Azirafel desea poder dar la vuelta atrás en el tiempo y detenerse a sí mismo pero todo lo que puede hacer es suplicar perdón.

Summary
La próxima vez que Crowley ve a Azirafel después del día en el que le rompió el corazón, entró en un ascensor de un blanco cegador y le dejó atrás, es casi en el mismo sitio.
Tres interminables meses después.
Ese horrible día, conduciendo sin dirección y despacio en un Bentley en silencio. Crowley no estaba seguro de si volvería a ver a Azirafel y mucho menos tan pronto teniendo en cuenta la forma en la que dejaron las cosas. Intentaba decirse a sí mismo que le daba igual si alguna vez sus ojos se volverían a posar sobre rizos blancos, ojos grises del color del acero y una pajarita ridícula de tartán pero las lágrimas amenazando con derramarse desde detrás de sus gafas de sol delataban sus verdaderos sentimientos.
(Sin mencionar los aleatorios pero persistentes trozos de pintura de color amarillo brillante en su coche de otra manera negro puro, frotados implacablemente con un dedo índice a la temperatura de una llama).

-----------Salen del otro lado vivos y marcados con hollín y luz de estrella apagada y parpadea a través del ardor que el humo ha dejado en sus ojos hasta que el mundo vuelve a verse y el picor estático en su piel disminuye.
Podría no haber funcionado en una línea temporal diferente, una en la que para empezar nunca se hubieran separado, aun así en esta, en esta definida por la pérdida y el dolor, han salvado el mundo.
