Sweat, alcohol, motor oil, cheap cologne, and cigarette smoke clinging to his skin, it filled Inho’s lungs like oxygen after years of drowning.
“You don’t know,” Inho rasped against his skin, the words muffled, shaking. “You don’t know how long…how badly…”
His tongue dragged up the line of his throat before he could stop himself, hot and slow. Gihun flinched, then let out a broken laugh, half-nervous, half-pleasured.

Summary
Hwang Inho, un Omega coreano, aborda la primera clase de pasajeros del recién estrenado RMS Titanic en Southampton, acompañado de su prometida, hija de una familia rica de Nueva York y su medio hermano Junho. Su hermano destaca la importancia de la unión entre Inho y la Alfa, ya que su eventual matrimonio lograría poner fin a los problemas económicos de los Hwang.
Sin embargo, Inho no la ama, así que su relación más bien es obligada. Sintiéndose presionado por esto e infeliz por una vida monótona que no le resulta confortable, el Omega decide suicidarse la primera noche del viaje y trata de saltar de la popa del Titanic.
