"If she were speaking truthfully, Harlow assumed that the reason why the intern had given them a coffee was, in a way, a thank you for treating them normally. They had worked here for a couple of weeks at this point, but they didn't interact much. In fact, she wouldn't even say that she treated them nicely, she just noticed what they needed and took action. That's all. But it didn't hurt to have someone on their side, even someone who was at the bottom of the hospitals hierarchy.
Harlow wasn't able to thank the intern now, but hopefully tomorrow they would be working the front desk. Besides, it's rude to not say thank you."

Arven wipes his eyes, looking down at his rotom phone. Currently, he was looking at a picture of his little buddy and two people surrounding them. A lady with long black hair, with bangs that covered the majority of her face, and a shorter boy with their hair tied back. They looked happy.
Unfortunately, there was something wrong with the photo. His little buddy, his best friend, was looking at the boy. That in itself isn’t bad, but it’s the way they were looking at him. Arven had never seen that look, that little glimmer in their eye; he longed for that look directed towards him.
Arven loves someone who doesn’t love him.
