“Darling, can you turn down the volume? I'm trying to sleep here!” Megan yelled from upstairs. the reporter continued talking: “Breaking news we just received! Miss Lora Carter, 24 years old known surgeon of central heart hospital of the New York city, committed suicide.”
“MEGAN! YOUR NIECE HAS COMMITTED SUCIDE!” Andrew screamed and turned up the TV volume. Megan came down running to hear properly. “The reports say she used high doses of sleeping pills. Her dead body was found in her bathroom by her friend, Miss Reina Hobson. According to the forensic medicine office, her heart had stopped around 72 hours before being found. The next news is about hurricanes in the north….” Andrew turned off the TV and hugged his crying wife. “Oh, my dear Lora. She was so young! Why would she do such a horrible thing? She had everything any girl ever wished for, a good career, an attractive body, she was rich and had a perfect family! Why would she do such a stupid thing!” Megan cried out. “I know, dear.” Andrew whispered. “SHE MUST HAVE BEEN MURDERED! GET UP! WE ARE GOING TO THE POLICE STATION! SHE COULDN’T HAVE JUST ATTEMPTED SUICIDE OUT OF NOWHERE!” Megan was running upstairs while her husband watched. “Poor Lora.” he sighed.

The first time he built a tableau, out of poor Freddie Lounds no less, he prayed that the Ripper would see him. He must have. The idea thrills him, gives Will a sense of wanting he hasn’t felt since the first time he saw a Ripper scene.
Suddenly the universe’s message is well–received. He knows this face. He knows those eyes.
And, evidently, those eyes know his too.
