Summary
Built for a vocation he was no longer fit for and riddled with survivors' guilt, small town life just wasn't enough for Kent. But, when had it been? He never chose to have a kid at seventeen, to get married so young. It all just happened to him. Everything had ground to a halt, leaving Kent with only his aches, scars, and memories as souvenirs. So now what?
A chance encounter with a man the same age as his son sends Kent's mind into a tailspin. There's something about him, something worth chasing. Kent will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of it, even if it means destroying the very peace he went to war for in the first place.

Summary
His plan had been the same for the past six years: graduate high school, serve the minimum four years in the military for an honorable discharge, save every bit of money possible to pay for college debt-free, get an engineering degree, land a cushy job, enjoy the ride. Financial stability and independence had always been the goal; little else mattered.
He hadn’t anticipated not coming home to the apartment in Zuzu, a twenty-minute ride on the subway away from anything he could ever need or want.
He also hadn’t anticipated nearly dying.
–
Lucas Parker returns to Ferngill from military service in Gotoro, but everything is wrong. His sister moved to the tiniest town in the country to start a farm; his aspirations and sanity have been shredded by nightmares of captivity and monsters; his dead lover haunts him, maybe literally. The only reprieve he finds is in the pages of books, and the only semblance of safety he feels is in the presence of the local beach hermit author. Lucas is trying desperately to leave the war behind, but the war, unfortunately, finds a way to follow him to his new home.

There was no magic in Stardew Valley.
Elliott had hoped that a change of scenery would be the answer to his writer's block, but the novelty of the move wore off within a few weeks. Life was slow and banal here.
Until it wasn't.
A fated encounter with a mysterious figure leads Elliott into a whirlwind fantasy. Could Rasmodius be what his heart's been searching for?
