“What in the Hades does ‘five-five’ mean?” Odysseus asks, throwing his head back in annoyance. What in the hells was he doing, arguing with this kid? He might be going insane. “You know what? Get out. Leave this stupid room. I need to fucking relax without a whiny voice in my ear.”

welcome to my alive gabriel goodman au!
everything's pretty similar to the n2n canon (with the london cast in mind), except that gabe survives. diana and dan managed to find doctors that caught the obstruction in time to save gabe's life, but not quick enough to leave him entirely unscatched. gabe struggles with chronic illness symptoms daily, including extreme abdominal pain, low blood pressure, headaches and migraines, dizziness, shakiness, etc. which in turn leads to the canon of natalie being left out by her parents often.
natalie is born, not to replace gabe this time, and they're the best siblings. henry is still your lovable stoner. dan still struggles with ignoring gabe sometimes and dealing with his son. diana still struggles with bipolar.
this will mostly just be a bunch of oneshots surrounding the characters in this universe! hope you enjoy <3

Sometimes, Gabe wonders what he would be like if he was alive. He wants to know if he would play football and live for Friday nights and his coach would clap him on the shoulder and say, “You’ve got quite the young man here,” to Dad. Or maybe he would be in theater, and Natalie would be embarrassed and proud to come see him perform. He could be in marching band. He’d like to learn to play an instrument, like Natalie.
But he’s not alive, and he doesn’t play football or an instrument. He doesn’t act or sing on stage. Dad has never patted him on the back after a job well-done and said, “That’s my boy.” Natalie hasn’t rolled her eyes and yelled at him for embarrassing her in front of her friends.
It’s okay, though. He has Mom. Mom, who loves him and sings on his birthday and says his name. Gabe doesn’t think he could ever love anyone as much as he loves Mom, but maybe he’d know how to if he was alive.
