Summary
Charlotte Tarvers is only 14 when the war breaks out, but 17 when she signs up. She's heard the stories from her parents, lovers who found each other by chance on the front lines in world war one in the country of France, now passing down the stories to their daughter. Her brothers sign up, leaving her younger brother and sister at home with her parents. Her best friend decides to sign up for the war as well, joining the Nurses' Corps. Thinking she will join her, Charlotte willingly agrees. However, upon receiving a letter from the U.S. Military Head of Board, she realizes she's being taken closer to the war, to the front lines even, as the first female combat medic in U.S. military history.

The SOE took her in, as well as her two siblings, Klimeck and Ryzshard, arming them with a fighting spirit, and a chance at survival, at a life where they could avenge the ones that were taken. Being apart of the Cichociemni came next, Elite Polish Paratroopers, and it was their ticket home. Ever since her feet had then touched the ground, she had been fighting with her home and her people - the Polish Home Army. The Warsaw Uprising got her captured, and then being on the run nearly got her killed - her only ally was the pistol at her side. The Dutch Resistance of Eindhoven, Holland housed her, but it would never be her home.
Upon liberation though, her path crossed with an Airborne Infantry - the 101st Airborne Division - the Screaming Eagles - American men. To ensure her safety back to Warsaw, Poland and her family, Easy Company and their men might be her only hope. But hope was lost long ago.

Summary
Rookie space ranger Allen Featheringhamstan is new to the job and is supposed to do an assignment with Buzz, but Buzz refuses to work with him. As a consequence, Allen is assigned to follow him around work for two weeks. Allen starts growing on Buzz and they become close, but due to an unforeseen incident with Burnside, it gets a little complicated.
The plot gets kicking at around chapter 6 or 7.

I was so moved in a way when we found out that Sox was to be Buzz's personal mental health and support robot, giving us the idea that even Buzz of all people might suffer from mental health issues and I am sure that so many of us saw ourselves in him. I love it when I get to have something to associate myself with in my favourite characters, and even if I don't suffer from bigger or diagnosed mental health issues myself, I hope that my experience as a bystander and a person who sees a lot of that around them is able to bring alive those emotions and thoughts in a way that is not romanticized or disrespectful, and possibly help someone. For me, writing and drawing are something to spill my heart into, to vent and process different things and emotions, and if my writing does the same for someone else, if someone finds comfort and help, even if just for a moment, then it's worth it.
