But one day apart stretched into two, into three, into a week, and suddenly Shane was on the other end of the phone, saying, ”Maybe this isn’t going to work, Ilya.”

Summary
Koi no yokan (恋の予感) is a Japanese phrase that translates to "premonition of love". It describes the quiet, sudden knowledge - upon meeting someone - that the two of you are destined to fall in love.
