Summary
“Where is he?” The General asked, and Steve almost laughed in his face again.
“Ohhhh he’s long gone, you big asshole!” He smiled, and he could tell that the General didn’t like that. Good. “He’s probably calling Hopper and Hopper is calling the U.S. Cavalry, they’re going to come in here commando style, guns a-blazing and kick your sorry asses back to Russia, and you’re gonna be two pieces of toast.”
They laughed, because they knew it. Because there was no other possible future where the Russians won. He imagined the General, blood pooling around his body. Dead. The General would die, and Steve took comfort in that.
The General nodded at Steve, a smug smile spreading on his face, then turned to the Doctor and spoke some Russian. They talked there for a moment, then they both walked out without another word.
“That’s bad right?” Steve asked once they were alone again.
“Uh, yeah. Yeah, that’s pretty bad.”
They leaned their heads on each others’ shoulders, and they stayed silent for a very long time. He focused on nothing but the connection, and hoped everything would sort itself out. He hoped Henderson was on his way.

Summary
Steve Harrington is normal, everyone thinks so. Captain of the swim team, starter on the varsity basketball team, most popular boy in school, absolute heartthrob, handsome, and rich. He's King Steve, Steve “the Hair” Harrington. He's an all-American boy growing up in the heartland. And he's spent years working very hard to keep it that way, because the truth is the last thing he is, is normal.
No, Steve Harrington has a dark past he's desperate to escape, however that gets much harder when Will Byers goes missing and Steve just can’t shake the feeling that something is very wrong in Hawkins, something that's pointing straight to his past. But everything will be fine, right? All he has to do is pretend everything is normal.
Or, another lab experiment Steve story because I can’t get it out of my head, so I’m sharing it with everyone.

Summary
This is a series of one-shots based on my other work Pretend Everything is Normal where the perspectives of other characters will be explored. I would recommend probably reading that one first, if you want to read this.
Steve Harrington seems like the epitome of normal. He's an athlete, a slightly below average student, well-liked by most people. However, as the Upside Down encroaches on Hawkins, the people closest to him start to realize that nothing is really normal. They just haven't figured out that applies to Steve too.
Or Steve is from the lab and is an empath, but nobody realizes that.
Rated Teen for now, but may change later, I'm not sure. I don't have a plan.

Summary
Henderson tells him about everything. Because yeah, last time Steve had gotten the whole interdimensional low-down in a face to face, trial by fire way.
But no one had said anything to him about the Super Girl and the lab that made her.
He didn’t know you could make super powers.
It’s the sort of thing he would have dreamed about as a kid, back when he and Tommy H would sit in Steve’s living room, in front of the big TV and watch Super Heroes on the News. Never when his dad was home because Steve learned pretty fast that if someone in spandex was on the screen, his dad would get all mad and talk about stuff Steve didn’t care about. It would usually end with him turning off the TV, so it was a loss for everyone.
