Summary
‘’Do you believe that being here is a mistake?’’
Those are the first words their therapist, Stephanie, has said in the last ten minutes. Before that, complete silence. The room has a dimmed light on, the walls are a lovely beige, and there are two couches, one directly in front of the therapist’s chair and the other across the room next to the door. It’s the couch you go to when you only observe a session as a guest. When you’re not here to dig inside your brain and spill your guts out.
Buck and Eddie are not seated on that couch. They’re on the other one, the big dark navy one with the two pillows on it. They’re not here in support of someone else or anything like that; they’re here for them.
They’re here because approximately ten weeks ago, Eddie got shot.
OR: the buddie couple therapy fic where, following the events of Eddie getting shot, both he and Buck are forced by the department to go through mandatory couple therapy.

Summary
Buck hip checks Eddie. ‘’You good?’’
‘’Yeah. I was just looking forward at quiet Sunday afternoon at the house, not this.’’
‘’Quiet Sunday afternoon?’’ Buck chuckles. ‘’When on Earth do you and Christopher have quiet Sunday afternoons? You usually blast aliens on the TV or play Mario Kart.’’
Eddie pouts. ‘’Hey, that’s quiet.’’
‘’Sure,’’ Buck smirks.
‘’Don’t be smug. Not everyone can be a master chef like you.’’
Buck leaves the knife on the board and turns to Eddie, faking offence. ‘’What? Me, a master chef? If you haven’t noticed I’m scared shitless I won’t recognize when the dish is done because Pepa keeps saying ‘it’s over until it’s over’ and ‘just a cup of flour’ but when I ask which cup she says ‘the blue one’. The blue one is not a measuring unit Eddie. I literally have no idea what I’m doing.’’
Eddie shrugs his shoulders then lifts a piece of carrot he just peeled to Buck’s mouth so he can snack on it. ‘’You’re doing fine. I’m on peeling duty. You’re on seasoning duty.’’

Summary
“The magic glowy song!” He exclaims. “So Eddie can heal!”
Eddie’s shoulders start shaking from laughter.
“Theo, buddy, I don’t think—”
Theo groans as if Buck had personally insulted Rapunzel herself.
And Eddie, because he’s an asshole, says, “C’mon, Buck, I’ll even smolder for you.”
“No!” Buck says quickly. “I’ll—I’ll sing. I’ll sing the magic song.”
or, 5 times Theo thought the movies he watched were real and the 1 time it was.

Summary
Eddie slips his hand under the collar of Buck’s hoodie below his neck, and rests it on the other man’s shoulder blade, feeling his bare skin.
It doesn’t come off as warm to the touch— okay, that’s a relief.
“You don’t have a fever.” Eddie tsks, hand still on Buck’s skin. “Is something wrong? Did something happen?”
Buck was fine yesterday, he looked fine at least, but why does he look like he doesn’t even have the strength to lift a finger now? It feels wrong.
After what feels like a century, Buck manages to speak in the weakest, lowest tone without opening his eyes. “ ‘m tired. L’t me sleep, pl’se.”
*
It's one of those days where after the lightning strike, Buck just feels tired.

Summary
“Are you an idiot?”
That’s the first thing Buck hears as he’s hauled back over the side of the pier, soaking wet and shivering so hard he might bite his tongue off. Eddie is glaring daggers at him, hissing curses in Spanish so quick that Buck, who’s currently trying to suppress the sound of a tsunami siren going off in his head, has no hope of translating.
“Y-yes?”
