Summary
Nightshade, moss, lotus, thalamus. Melinoë has Zagreus hold the ingredients while the cauldron's ether is brought to a boil, and then, when it is ready, she holds out her hands to receive them back. Zagreus asks, not for the first time, "Is this really all of it, sister?"
--
Melinoë works her magic to allow Zagreus to explore the surface without dying, and he accompanies her on her nightly task.

"This is my nightmare, then?" he asks instead.
"It is, or it should be. But it seems you would defy the will of us gods even in this."
Icarus smiles. "I mean, you're here. So long as you stay, how bad a dream could it be, hey?"
--
The Ectoplasmic Draught was a one-time solution, but there are other ways. Some nights after that romance scene, Melinoë gets resourceful, and Icarus is not about to resist.

"Who are you? Are you a bad person?"
He stopped approaching, not wanting to spook her any further. "My name is Silence," he said, which was a truer answer than yes or no. "And this is my friend Scratch."
"You're safe now," barked Scratch.

Summary
The Dark Urge thrashed, and chewed vainly on the golden scales of Gortash's fingers.
"Feisty little creature." Gortash was amused at its expense, and the Dark Urge screeched its one and final warning. "Oh, what a scary expression. You remind me of a late friend of mine."
--

Summary
This is a collection of short scenes I wrote in a mad haze over the course of my first Durge playthrough, at the start of 2024, to fill in gaps in canon and flesh out some of the companion interactions. Includes: Shadowheart/Durge, some Astarion/Durge, past durgetash, as well as just general scenes.

Summary
THELYSS: I think I could have floated beside him in stasis forever, ignoring the obvious. Once he offered the precise object of my desire, which I had been concealing from even myself, I panicked.
INTERVIEWER: And what did you say to him?
THELYSS: We fought about it. We had to. In the Nein, it is prerequisite for doing anything.
WIDOGAST: In the end, it was about fear, as it always is.
— The Mighty Nein's rocket to fame involves more drama, mystery, abuse, sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll than any columnist can resist, but media accounts until now have been mostly secondhand. Tabloids and vultures run with the facts in the opposite direction, smearing half-truths and outrageous accusations onto any blank space, taking silence for admission.
It definitely doesn’t help that Thelyss admitted to stealing the Mouthpiece of the Luxon on national telellusion.
The following timeline contextualizes Widogast and Thelyss’s individual music careers, their collaborations, and the events surrounding a) the crimes of Volstrucker Records CEO Trent Ikithon, and b) Ikithon and Martinet Ludinus Da’leth’s undiscussed roles in the Mouthpiece of the Luxon Scandal.

Summary
"This place is a dump," Gojyo said, looking around.
He wasn't wrong. The unmistakable smell of mould curled through the rooms. The floorboards creaked and groaned under every step. The kitchen had been ransacked. Every pot and pan and plate—some of them still containing dried crusts of what had once presumably been food—had been pulled from the tables and cupboards and onto the floor. Clothes were flung about the bedroom; they lay collapsed on the rotting rugs like dead bodies, all covered in dust.
The owner, Mr Chan, stood next to Hakkai. He had a sooty black mole on his bald head. It wasn't a youkai mark. "The last people left in a hurry. I couldn't find any one to rent during the—bad time." He darted his gaze away from Hakkai and fixed it on the mess on the floor.
"It'll take a lot of cleaning," Hakkai said. "I like it."

Summary
Hakkai is weird.
This, Gojyo feels, is something that people tend to forget. Even Sanzo seems to take Hakkai at face value more often than not, and Hakkai's face always shows the same value. Gojyo knows better.
