Summary
It was supposed to be a week-long mission to clear out a nearby island of monsters and then come back to the castle to rest. That's the worst part, no one will even realize that they're missing until it's too late.
There's hardly enough provisions for them to last that long; barely enough for a single person. Then again, Four hadn't been single for a long time.
Or, Four has to make a tough choice, and he knows of a way to make it so that multiple people can live off of the supplies for one.

Harry's not an idiot, at least that's what he hopes. He does, however, have enough common sense not to write down his own name when a magical diary asks for it.
Gryffindor as always, he decides to prank the diary by pretending to be Voldemort and is confused by the reaction he receives. The most fun (and potentially useful) course of action is to play along.
Tom senses his own magical signature in the writer, though it appears that his future self has gone to efforts to disguise it. He wastes no time trying to learn as much as he can about the present. Harry ends up learning more.

Nobody knew. Not even the ole fool, Dumbledore. It was so mind-numbingly simple to convince Dumbledore to let stuttering, afraid-of-his-own-shadow Quirrel take Harry Potter to Diagon Alley instead of Hagrid. The giant was just so busy after all, and Quirrel had nothing to do anyways, Headmaster. Why wouldn't he go in Hagrid's place?

Having found out L’s name, Light can finally have everything he wants: the world and, more importantly, L. Convincing L, however, turns out to be more difficult than killing him, especially with a house full of orphans to stir the soup. Christmas fluff balanced by a power struggle between the dynamic duo.
