For many years, Olruggio has gone through his heats just fine. Their apprentices would leave, and Qifrey would accompany him to scent him and cook dinner.
However, this time, the pharmacy has not filled Qifrey's hormone balancing medication. He's become much more irritable and grumpy, but Olruggio is willing to look past that for a comfortable heat cycle with a friend.

Summary
Settling into a life free of the curse he’d carried for as long as he could remember, Qifrey has accepted many changes about his circumstances, as well as his body. As Olruggio packs with the intention to travel, Qifrey finds himself feeling increasingly strange, perhaps even ill, until his best friend has to be the one to put the pieces together for him.

“Do you know,” Olruggio chokes out, shifting further away, moving slowly and carefully. He shudders when their legs slide together for a beat, blue eyes falling closed as he sucks in a breath. His tongue peeks out to wet his lips, body quivering. The scent in the room is darkening again, gathering close, filling Qifrey’s senses to the brim, overflowing, spilling between them.
“Qifrey,” Olly tries again, eyes desperate as he looks directly into the other witch’s face, teetering on the edge of the bed as though unwilling to actually go. “Do you know you’re an omega?”

After the ugly truth was laid bare, every broken piece of his soul, every part of his shame, open for judgement and rejection, when tears were still as fresh as the rivers that ran through Zozah, Olruggio had taken his face in his hands instead, his forehead rested against his own in an ardent mirror of their secret handshake, and asked for no more lies — therefore, Qifrey couldn’t stop the words from tumbling; from spilling out involuntarily:
“I want you to fuck me in the Great Hall.”
Olruggio let go of his face while his eyes widened, lips closed tight, as Qifrey gasped, quickly slapping his hand over his mouth.
On a visit to the Great Hall, Olruggio and Qifrey find a hidden corner to fulfil an old fantasy of defiling the Great Hall. During their tryst, someone catches them in the act.

Olruggio’s addicted to seeing Qifrey’s walls come down. The consequences soon get beyond him.
