“So when you said the girls were loud…you meant—?”
"That their emotions were doing my head in. You'd be surprised by how loud anxiety can be," Musa admitted, cringing at her own bluntness. But it was the truth. Fortunately, Vanessa didn't seem affected by the tone.
"Seems overwhelming," Mrs. Peters stated, waves of sympathy rolling off her. Surprisingly, Musa didn't resent it. If anything, the sympathy was shrouded in protectiveness and motherly concern.

Summary
Almost eight years ago, Captain Maya Bishop left Seattle without a trace, after her team shut her out for becoming captain of the 19th instead of Andy Herrera.
Maya had gotten a chance to fix the mess called her life and had taken it. She had married the love of her life and was living a peaceful life. But what happens, when a call from Seattle prompts her to return to the city, she once called home? How will the people, who once turned their back on her, react, when they meet their former boss and friend again?
OR:
I basically changed every aspect, I disliked in the series and gave almost every one a redemption arc and therapy. Also, Andrew lives because I said so.

Summary
Samira Mohan was not standing in the Hub by 7:15. Instead, by 7:45 Jack had left her three missed calls and two voicemails. Normally that sort of behavior would label him as an overbearing boss, but it was January and the city was vicious and cold and the roads were slick and Samira was late for work and Jack–
Well, Jack Abbot was many things but he was most definitely not a hopeless romantic. Any sentimentality on the idea surrounding love and soulmates had been lost on him when his wife died ten years ago. When Jane died, so did the part of him that believed in love after loss. After all, he had seen people remarry. Had known that the idea of such a thing was possible and genuine and–
And Jack Abbot was convinced he would never love again.
OR
Samira Mohan is late for work. She's never late. Jack Abbot is aware of this and spends his shift responding to a massive pileup MCI while trying to not spiral about Samira's sudden radio silence. But then the paramedics bring in a patient and Jack's world stops spinning.
A majority of the chapters take place over the course of three days, with alternating perspectives.
