Chapter Text
The bright lights flashed around the dark throne room as the music blasted out of the speakers. The glass windows were vibrating as the bass started to get louder. Bill summoned a martini into his hands and stared down from his throne at the raving demons.
Tonight had been a slow evening, up until now there had only been one casualty which was considered rather mild. Still the party had just started so perhaps it would pick up the pace a little. Even so Bill couldn't really keep his attention in the present moment.
A little while ago he had decided he wanted to leave this realm behind, yet he was making little progress with his search for a sutible replacement. This place wasn't as horrible as when he had first arrived here, but still it was far from comfortable.
The nightmare realm was a dimension filled with outcasts. Everything was unstable, chaotic and on the verge of collapse. Beside the palace he had built, everything else was in ruines. So all demons had taken up residency in the fearamid. Aside from the few he actually called friends, demons weren't exactly good company.
Sure the parties were fun, but they got boring pretty quickly. Everyone just followed their base instincts and desired little more than chaos and the occational bloodshed. Most of them didn't have more on their mind than to eat, fight or fuck anything they encountered...
Bill sipped his martini and looked to the swirling orange and purple sky outside. A storm was brewing. The dark green clouds started to drift closer and he could see the bright blue flashes of lightning in the distance.
This realm would soon collapse into itself and he would be damned before going out like that. So he had started planning. Only a few of his most trusted henchmaniacs knew about Bill's plans to leave this wicked place behind and find somewhere else. Still he hadn't gotten far with his search...
A loud shriek coming from the dancefloor captured his attention. One of the smaller demons had been stepped on. His remains were splattered around the dark tiles. The others didn't pay any attention to the poor creature and kept dancing and yelling in tune with the music.
The empty glass refilled itself and Bill took another sip from his drink. After extensive research there were only a few worlds he actually considered an option, all more stable and intresting than the nightmare realm. The real problem was finding a way into one of those dimensions...
Bill sighed and leaned on the palm of his hand. He had accepted the invitation to this party purely on a whim and the fact he hadn't shown himself in a while. As king and supreme ruler you have to make sure your subjects don't forget who you are.
Bill had been here for a couple of hours already, it was probably more than enough time for the intended purpose of showing himself. He was about to leave his throne when a familiar feeling started coursing throughout his body. Blue flames danced over his skin and started to envelop him.
The martini Bill had been holding fell from his fingers as he felt himself being pulled away from this dimension. The glass shattered on the steps but as the closed demon turned around to look where the noise had come from, the king had already vanished.

What the fuck is going on?! Bill looked around and observed his new surroundings.
This definitely wasn't the nightmare realm. The sky wasn't brightly colored and only gray clouds hovered above them. As far as he could tell he was in a forest, in the middle of a little clearing. The trees were swaying in the wind and a few leaves brushed passed his feet.
Had he just been summoned?! There was only a small amount of beings powerful enough to summon him, without Bill making first contact.
"Oh my god it worked."
The shocked voice behind him made Bill spin around. On the forest floor sat a guy, maybe in his twenties, surrounded by disturbing objects he no doubtedly had used to summon the demon. The kid seemed like the totally average human, so how the hell had he been able to summon one as mighty as him?!
Bill squinted his eye at the teenager who was still staring up at him. His eyes were just as brown as the dark curls that were partially hidden away under the blue and white cap he was wearing. Bill was used to everyone averting his gaze as they saw him pass by. If it was out of respect or fear he didn't know, but honestly he never really cared.
But this guy... he had been staring at him since he had arrived in this random place for the past minute. Eventually Bill was getting a little sick of the silence and took a step towards the human who was still kneeled on the ground.
"Who are you? Why did you summon me?"
The guy blinked a few times as if he hadn't expected Bill to ask questions. He quickly got up and slapped the dirt from his trousers. "My name is Dipper, and I summoned you to make a deal." Bill observed the kid for a moment longer. He really seemed serious.
Of course Bill's intrest was awakened. Deals were always fun, especially with mortals. Their stupid requests were way too easy to twist and use against them. A wicked smile tugged at his lips as he stared at the human in front of him. "Sure kid, what kind of deal were you thinking?"
The guy seemed a little nervous, despite the bright smile and rosy color of his cheeks. After a moment of hesitation the human finally spoke. "I want you to be my boyfriend." It took a few seconds before Bill had properly processed the request.
Excuse me what now? Did this guy really summon a demon, a fucking demon, to get himself a boyfriend? What the hell. Who is this guy? Is he insane?!
The smile faded from Bill's lips and he crossed his arms. "Don't you think that's a little bit of an overkill? Why don't you go partake in those human courting rituals your kind seems to favour. Making a demon deal to get yourself a boyfriend seems excessive.
Bill combed through his hair waiting for the human to retract his request, but the kid didn't seem fazed in the slightest. "I don't want a boyfriend. I want you to be my boyfriend."
For the first time in a long time Bill was actually speechless. There had not been a single accurence in his long life where he had wanted to refuse a deal. Until now. Bill quickly re-gathered his composure and smiled at the human.
"And what do you suppose you could give me in return for me oblidging to your request?" He chuckled. There was nothing the human could offer that would convince him to be his freaking boyfriend. As soon as the kid would realise that he would probably run away scared.
"Whatever you want." Dipper said enthusiastically.
Bill froze. Alright, perhaps there was one thing that this guy could propose that would make him consider accepting. This was an exceptionally fortunate deal. Bill's mind started to weigh all the options. If he could get this guy to help him to take over this dimension he would be rid of the nightmare realm...
Dipper waited silently for the demon to think about it, not paying attention to the small raindrops that began falling from the sky. Bill looked around one more time. This dimension seemed suitible enough. He wouldn't be able to invade another realm without an ally in said world, and he hadn't found any so far.
Now here this guy was practically throwing himself at his feet to be Bill's puppet. But he had to play the part of being his freaking boyfriend... The longer Bill took to think about it, the more nervous the human seemed to get. Wait. Is he actually afraid he'll get rejected?
The rain was turning from a light drizzle into a shower, but neither of them made any move to leave. "Anything I want?" Bill asked and the human nodded. "Anything." The demon smiled slyly at the kid. "I want you to help me take over this universe."
Dipper clearly hadn't expected this to be the price and took a step back. Bill scoffed and laughed internally. There was no way he would take this deal. "What would that entail?" The human finally asked. Bill arched his brow.
Normally humans were to stupid to inquire about such things. That was also the reason they were so easy to screw over.
Somewhere far away thunder rumbled. The human was getting soaked from the downpoar but he was still staring up at the demon in front of him waiting for an explination. "Well, the dimension I'm living right now isn't that much fun. I want to start living here..." Bill smiled and spread his arm while looking around the small clearing. "...and rule this universe."
He is certain to back out now, Bill thought as he crossed his arms again. The jacket of his suit was getting soaked but he wasn't bothered by it. The human seemed to get a little uncomfortable though...
"Sure you want to rule the universe, but what does that mean? Give me an example? Dipper asked as he wrapped his arms around himself. Bill stared at the kid. What is wrong with this guy. No one in their right mind would want to help a demon take over their universe.
"I would reshape this world and the others as I see fit. Spread chaos, weirdness and horrors across your dimension. Stuff like that." Dipper swallowed hard, clearly trying to make sense of it all. "Would my family and friends be safe?"
Bill whiped away a few dripping strands of his hair that had fallen into his eye. "I could arrange that." Dipper visibly lit up after hearing that. "Alright, but there is one more thing. Bill guestured for him to speak, feeling very amused by the guy's questions. "What can I possibly do to help you?"
Dipper seemed concerned, but not at Bill's ridiculous request, but more about what he could possibly have to offer. It was so hilariously innocent Bill almost started to laugh. Quickly he scraped his throat and tried to keep his composure. "I need an ally in the universe, otherwise I won't be able to come and go as I please. So besides existing you don't need to do much.
Bill was certain of two things. This guy was pretty smart and interesting for a meatstick. The second thing was that he was absolutly bonkers. Who would ever seriously concider taking this deal. No one who wasn't fucking insane, that's who. Still Dipper seemed to be thinking about it.
"Is there anything you want to ask?" Dipper kneeled down next to his bagpack and started rummaging around in it. After a few seconds he pulled out an umbrella and opened it. Is he for fucking real? Why would this guy stand in the rain for ten minutes before grabbing the umberella he had the whole time.
The human looked up at Bill who had almost forgotten he had asked a question. "Right. What would 'being your boyfriend' entail?" It would probably be useful to know what this guy expected from him before closing the deal. Dipper's face flushed and he stared down at his shoes.
The red paint he had used to create the sigil needed for the summoning ritual was spreading out over the dirt as the rain started washing it away. "I don't know... just regular boyfriend stuff. Spending time together, hanging out... going on dates. Stuff like that." Bill frowned. He was pretty sure he didn't make a suitible boyfriend.
His social relationships were mostly between himself and his subjects. Sure he had a few friends but he wasn't exactly a great friend either. Even so these terms sounded easy enough.
Bill thought about how this deal would end. As far as he understood boyfriends in this world were not bound forever. So after becoming suprime ruler of the universe he would just have to dump this kid and he would be rid of him.
"So..." Bill walked over to the kid. "...I'll be your boyfriend and you will help me take over this universe." He smiled as he held out his hand, blue flames immidiatly sprouting from his fingers. "Do we have a deal?" Dipper let his gaze glance up and down the demon before shaking his head.
"You have to add the part about my friends and family..." The demon squinted his eye feeling equal parts annoyed and impressed he specifically requested it to be said. "Fine. Your friends and family will be safe and unharmed during our deal."
Bill extended his hand again, the blue flames casting strange shadows on the ground as the rain poured around them. Dipper thought it over for another moment before nodding. His cold fingers wrapped around the demons.
"We have a deal."
