Work Text:
People have always thought of Mel as a tomboy.
It didn’t help that her parents gave her an awful haircut because of how Shelby, the mean girl in her third-grade class, stuck gum in her hair. So for a while, Mel had to deal with a haircut that hugged her head like a helmet, and she also had that awkward fringe across her forehead. She was always seen as one of the boys. The other girls thought she was weird, and a lot of the girls only tried to talk to her because of her brother.
He is seven years older than Mel, and subsequently, all of the other kids in her grade. All of the girls would use her to get to her brother even though he was much older than all of them. It didn’t help her case either when one day, she lashed out, all frustrated and possessive, pushing Shelby onto the ground, saying, “He’s my brother! Mine!”
That got the girls in elementary school and middle school to isolate her, or try to use her. She was different from all of them and was more aggressive than was expected of young girls like her. No one expected it of her either. It wasn’t unusual for the teachers to attempt to place the blame on her brother’s behavior.
In her first year of high school, Mel has made it her personal goal to no longer be seen as ‘one of the boys’. She got her braces taken off, and her mom has readily agreed to her wearing eye contacts, even though they irritate her eyes. She has had enough of roughhousing, and she decided it was time for her to grow up. Be a woman, like her mom has told her. It’s what’s good for her.
(She remembers crying all ashamed the first time she got her period.
Freshly 11, and legs and arms were hurting from growing pains. She had to start wearing training bras, and Frank had to take her because her mom would be too weird about it. Frank stood to the side awkwardly as Mel browsed through the Target aisles of training bras. She barely had boobs yet. Why did she need them?
When she got her period, she pulled down her panties that said the day of the week, and saw that the gusset was nearly brown. Instead of going to her mom, she knocked on Frank’s door, vulnerable and sensitive. He was going off to college, so he wouldn’t be around anymore. But that wouldn’t have made any difference; he barely talked to her then.
Her brother opened the door, and she promptly burst into tears and ran into his arms. He hesitated before he wrapped his arms around her, engulfing her growing, tiny torso. He rubbed his hand up and down her back, his heat warming up from head to toe.
“What’s wrong, bug?” He asked her in that soft tone that was reserved for her. Which he barely uses anymore.
“My Thursday panties are brown,” was what she said in between sobs.
He froze his moments. “Uh, what?”
Mel pulled back and looked up at him, all disgruntled and frustrated, tears streaming down her plump cheeks. “I think I got my period, Frankie.”
Frank made a face; he no longer liked that nickname, he told her. He would rather be called Frank now.
He had crouched down, his head still higher than hers even when he tried to match her height. “Oh, bug.”
It was Frank who taught her about pads, tampons, and even gave her the sex talk, no matter how awkward it was for the two of them.
It was always Frank, Frank, Frank for her. Not mom, not dad. It was her brother who took care of her. Ever since she was born.
Up until he left.)
Mel wakes up every day at 6 am sharp to get ready. She told herself she would no longer be different from the others and would instead be like everyone else. She will watch those makeup tutorials, use her allowance for drugstore makeup, and learn how to be like everybody else. It’s what Frank did, now that she has grown older and is in high school herself. Back then, she didn’t understand him for changing who he was for everybody else. But now she gets it.
Her boobs have grown a little bit more, she can stand to the side and look at herself in the mirror, and see how her tits are now more round. Her ass is starting to grow. Now that she no longer puts her hair up in ponytails or in braids as often, maybe that will make the other girls like her. She will no longer be seen as Frank’s little sister, or even as Mel, who is one of the guys. She’s Mel King: her own person, a growing girl. A woman, her mom would say all fondly and proudly, even though that used to make Mel’s skin itch.
Her plan worked. She made friends, and girls invited her to sleepovers. She now has various pairs of Victoria’s Secret thongs and cheeky panties in her drawers, all of the days of the week panties thrown away, even if they are uncomfortable to wear. With Frank no longer around, she’s now gotten used to her mom teaching her about life.
“You know, Mellie, I regret marrying your father,” her mom told her once as she was applying blush to her cheeks. Mel was watching dutifully, wanting to learn after her fourth failed attempt. “He’s never home, always at work. It’s always been me taking care of you both. I didn’t even get to graduate from college. Your dad got me pregnant with your brother, and look at where we are now.”
Mel wanted to tell her that her mom didn’t even take care of her; it was Frank who did. But she didn’t say anything and listened. She learned that it was best to stay silent when her mom would vent to her.
“You were such a hard child, you know? I didn’t know what to do with you. Frank was so easy that I thought we could have another even though we had you years after. But you were so…” Different was unspoken. But Mel knew what she was trying to say. She had always overheard her when her mom and Frank would argue. “But you’re much better now. Easier to talk to, no longer trying to get your hands and knees dirty as you did a few years ago. I always got mad at your brother for that, you know? He’s your big brother; he should know better than to be roughhousing with his little sister in the backyard or sharing the same bed. I’m glad that you two are no longer like that.”
Mel nodded along as she zoned out her mom’s words. All she wanted was to learn how to put on makeup, and if all she had to do was listen to her mom rant to her about how she hated her life, then so be it.
Some of the life lessons her mom has taught her have been weird, but some of them have been good for her. She now knows how to curl her hair, what skincare products to use, and how not to get wrinkles too early.
Frank doesn’t text or call as much as he used to since he went off to college. And when he would come back for vacations, he would be quieter or stay in his room more. Then he started dating Abby, and suddenly she was everywhere. He even missed one Thanksgiving to spend it with Abby’s family instead. Mel tries not to care, but she hasn’t forgiven him for that either.
She’s gotten used to Frank being aloof and more dodgy. In middle school, it upset her, but now she is fifteen. She’s a new person now. She will not be bothered by these things anymore; she will smile and move on, as her mom has taught her.
She’s a woman. This is what a good woman must do. Take it, and smile.
-
Then Frank comes back for spring break in his fourth year of college, and everything changes.
-
It starts with little things.
Him waking her up in the morning and asking if she wants breakfast. Asking her to go for a drive, even if the drive lasts for 10 minutes max. Offering to braid her hair, asking her what she’s wearing, and who she is going to see. Entering her bedroom without knocking and no shirt on. Won’t stop calling her bug even though she asks him (politely!) not to.
Then he shows up all of a sudden when she goes on a date with Liam from her biology class, and drags her out of the mall, practically carrying her out with one arm.
“What are you doing?” She asks him, slapping his arm. “Put me down, Frank!”
“You didn’t tell me you were going on a date,” Frank responds, not looking at her as he walks them out, using his free hand to take his car keys out of his jean pocket.
“I don’t need to tell you anything,” Mel tells him, frustrated. A car beep sound. “You’re not my dad!”
He opens the passenger door even as she keeps pinching at him, slapping his arm, and forces her into the seat.
Then he leans over her, his face close to hers. His piercing blue eyes stare into hers, pupils blown. “No, I am not your dad. But I am your brother. Your big brother. And you can’t hide things from me. No, don’t say anything. I don’t know what bullshit mom has been telling you, but you can’t hide from me or lie to me. You’re my little sister, and you will tell me where you are going, and who you are meeting. I don’t give a fuck about Liam or any other stupid boys in this town. I only give a shit about you, bug. I know you, and you come to me. Not anyone else, not mom, no one else. You come to me.”
She is so in shock by what he said, he manages to get her seatbelt onto him and close the door, then climb into the driver’s seat and turn the engine on. Her heart is racing, and her blood is running through her veins. Their blood is running through her veins.
Mel stares at her brother from across the car, cheeks flushed from anger and embarrassment and… and… She squeezes her legs together, shuffling in her seat, and pulls her skirt a bit further down her thighs so he doesn’t see.
But he did see. He’s caught her. Frank looks at her, eyes dark. She swallows. She doesn’t know why everything is so different now. She knows this isn’t normal. No brother acts this way towards his sister.
Just a few more days, then Frank would need to go back to college. Just a few more days, and they’d be normal again. Missed calls, unanswered texts. That is what she’s used to.
-
Once they pull in the driveway, Mel exits the car before he even gets to turn the car into park. She uses her key to open the front door and searches for refuge in the backyard, nearly running as she crosses the threshold, barely remembering to take off her worn-down Converse before sliding into her flower flip-flops that her brother bought her on vacation a few years back. She sits on the patio, her bare legs hanging off the edge, waiting for her heart to settle down in her chest.
Frank is always around now, and it’s so bothersome. Especially after the way he had acted when she went on a date with Liam, he won’t leave her alone now. She thought he couldn’t stand her anymore, but now he’s everywhere. He’s so confusing. Boys are already confusing, but her brother is supposed to be a man. Do they stay confusing forever? Mel doesn’t think she can take it, with how her heart always races around her brother now, not expecting what he will do next. She should ask her mom about it. Not the brother part though, obviously.
Barely even a minute has passed, and she hears the sliding door opening and closing. She sighs and turns to face her brother. She jumps at the closeness of him, the roughness of his jeans brushing against her arm. The look in his eyes that he has been giving her these past few days that she can’t understand. Confusing.
“Yes?” She asks him, not even trying to give him a pleasant smile this time around. He’s being so annoying. He literally took her phone and hid it. Now she can’t find it.
“I was talking to you. You can’t just leave in the middle of a conversation, bug.” He drags out her old nickname with a glint in his eyes. She scowls at him.
“I told you not to call me that anymore, Frank.”
“I can call you bug all I want, bug.”
“Okay, so what if I start calling you Frankie again?” That should get him.
“I invite that actually. I’d rather you call me Frankie than pretend I’m not here.”
“You didn’t feel this way a few years ago.” What is wrong with him? Is he high? She’s noticed he’s been smoking a lot of weed lately, even though he tries to hide it from their parents. “Are you high, Frank? Is that why you're acting so weird?”
He bites back a smile, the corners of his mouth slightly curled up. “Do I seem high to you?”
“I don’t know. I’ve never been high before. But you always smell weird now whenever you’re here.” She wrinkles her nose as she recalls the scent. She feels a chill run down her spine. Gosh, she hates the smell so much.
Her brother is looking at her strangely. He has to be high. Frank takes too long to respond to her, and she isn’t in the mood to be patient with him, so she sighs loudly, shakes her head, then jumps off the patio. Mel keeps her back to him as she walks a bit further into their backyard, feeling the lushness of the grass underneath her flip-flops. She has to think, and he won’t even give her a moment of peace.
Finally, she turns around and faces him, a look of resolve on her face. He’s still standing on top of the patio with his arms folded across his chest. She has to strain her neck to look up at him from this height. She can barely see him with the sun shining behind him, so she has to squint, her right hand above her eyes.
“Why are you acting like this, Frank? Be honest. Stop playing with me,” she pleads with him. “No more games, please.”
He stares at her for another beat, and gosh, why can’t she read his expression anymore? She used to read him so easily, but now she can’t recognize the person in front of her. Her brother, her person, her Frank. She watches him shake his head and hang his head up, like he’s trying to find an answer from the clear blue sky above them.
“I don’t know, Mel. This is what being an adult is like,” he says, as if he’s annoyed with her for even asking him that question.
“Are you sure? Because from what it looks like, you’re acting like a child. I don’t know what Abby has done to you but you cannot be taking it out on me!” She spits out his brother’s girlfriend’s name, the old feeling of jealousy spiking through her veins.
He laughs, looking back at her again. She can faintly see his smirk from here. “Do you think this is about Abby?”
“What else can this be about? You’re acting like you’re…” She can’t even say it.
“Like what, Mel?” His voice is low, deep.
Mel swallows. She’s not playing any of his games anymore, even though she feels an ache deep in her core at his tone. “Nothing, Frank.”
He climbs down from the patio and walks towards her. She begins to back up slowly, fear striking through her. She looks down and notices that he’s still wearing his shoes. He walked through their house with his shoes on, is her last coherent thought before Frank grabs her, his hand engulfing her forearm. “Tell me, bug. What was the end of that sentence?”
Her eyes search around them, frantic. Her parents aren’t going to be home for another thirty minutes, she knows this. It’s only her and her brother.
She has nowhere else to go.
“Let me go, Frank. You’re scaring me.” She’s shaking, and she looks into her brother’s eyes for the first time since he picked her up and nearly manhandled her into his car. His pupils are dilated, and she can barely see the blue in his eyes.
“Finish the end of your sentence then. Use your words and tell your big brother what you’re trying to say.” His tone is all levelled, like what he’s doing to her is normal. Like what they’re doing is normal. She doesn’t even have her phone to call for help.
This is her brother. He won’t hurt her. He’s always told her she’s his favorite person in the world. She knows he would never hurt her; he loves her, she tells herself, before choosing her next words carefully. “Like you’re my boyfriend.”
With them being outside, she would think that she would be able to hear the wind blowing through the trees, cars on the street, or even children laughing in their backyards because of how it’s spring break. But it’s silent. There is no one else in the world but them.
“How does that make you feel?” Frank asks her, his grip on her arm bruising. “For me to act like your boyfriend?” He uses his free hand to swipe a thumb at her cheek. She realizes then that she’s crying. “Tell me, bug. Please,” he begs.
“Confused. I don’t know what’s going on in your mind anymore, Frank.” She’s quiet now, stuck in her brother’s web. She’s his prey, and he’s caught her. “I don’t know who you are now.”
His face scrunches up, like he’s in pain. Then he pulls her against him, flush against his body. No space between them. She feels it then, feels him. Mel’s eyes widen, feeling his hardness through his pants, against her bare skin. The size of him is nearly as big as her thigh.
“I’m your brother, bug. You know me. I’m Frankie.”
She lets out a sob and shakes her head in a frenzy, trying to find reason with him. He must know this is wrong. “This isn’t you. This isn’t what brothers do to their sisters.”
His hand inches down her cheek, before his thumb stops at her mouth. She keeps her lips closed together, but he forces his thumb inside her anyway, pressing down on her tongue. She chokes down on it. “Isn’t it?” Frank looks down at her in awe as he pulls his hand back, a line of spit connecting between her wet lips and his thumb. He doesn’t break her gaze as he turns his hand to lick at his thumb.
She’s panting, doesn’t know whether to look him in the eye or watch his tongue connect to his hand, watch their spit blend on his skin, become one. He seems to take her reaction as a positive because he leans down to kiss her. Their mouths barely brushed against each other before she shoves him away.
Her eyes are wide, her cunt is soaked, and her heart is racing. His eyes are half-lidded, his erection more obvious than ever in the sunlight.
“This is wrong, Frankie!” His old nickname spills out of her tongue so easily, like old times. Back when they would be in the backyard and play fight. “You’re my brother!”
This is a different fight now.
He laughs, humorlessly. She hates that her cunt clenches down at nothing because of that. Because of him. She’s so confused, this is happening too quick, too fast. This shouldn’t be happening at all.
“Remember your ninth birthday, bug?” He walks towards her, slowly. Her legs are shaking, trying to walk backwards, away from him. “You made a big wish when you blew out the candles I made for you. What was your wish?”
She wants her mom. She wants her brother to be like every other normal brother and think she’s clingy and has the cooties. She doesn’t want to be a woman anymore; she wants to be in bed wearing her matching cat pajamas and be a little girl again. Back when her brother was still her brother. “I made a wish about getting married.”
“And who did you wish to get married to?”
Mel wishes he never came home. She wishes Abby didn’t dump him. She wishes, she wishes, she wishes. “I wished to marry you.”
She feels hollow now. She didn’t know making that silly wish at nine years old cursed her to be her brother’s forever. She should’ve known. Her mother always said she was his brother’s gift.
Frank’s smile is nearly animalistic, the sort of expression she would see on the Nature’s History channel when a ravenous predator has found its prey, waiting to be taken. She never thought this would be her, and her brother would be the one to take her. She wants to turn back time to when she was on her date with Liam. He was awkward and didn’t know how to hold a door open for a girl, but at least he would not be doing this to her. “Yeah, Mel. You wished to marry me.”
“I was nine, Frank!” She’s struggling to find some reprieve, but he’s backed her into a corner.
He shrugs, with little care for the world. Little care to what he’s about to do to her. “Didn’t I tell you I would always give you what you want?” He goes to grab her, and she finds the opportunity to slip out beneath him, but she loses her flip-flops somehow along the way. Stupid, stupid, is what she thinks to herself as she slips on the grass, falling onto her back. She scrambles for purchase, fingers curling into the dirt beneath her, her chest rising up and down with every shallow breath she’s taking. “That I will do everything and be anything you need for you to be happy?” He stands over her, eyes dark. “This is me giving it to you now, bug. I’m sorry I took so long to realize what you needed, but I’m here now.” Frank crouches down and touches her knee, pushing his thumb deep into her skin, making her yelp from the pressure.
“I should’ve been there for you. I should’ve picked up every call, answered every message. I’m sorry for missing last Thanksgiving too. I should’ve been here.” He sounds like his old self again, with his soft soothing voice, he’s only ever used for her. Frankie, her Frankie. Her eyes are stinging from tears. “I know mom’s been too hard on you too, and how dad is never around because he’s fucking useless. I’m sorry, Mel. I should’ve been here. I should’ve taken care of you.”
Mel’s fully sobbing now, tears running down her cheeks, and her nose all snotty. “You left me, Frankie.”
He moves closer to her, hovering over her, wiping away her tears and her snot with the back of his hand. “I know, baby. I’m sorry. I’m here now. Frankie’s here.” He offers his arms to her, and she falls into him, nearly forcing herself onto him to be held tightly in her big brother’s embrace.
“You left, you left, you left me with them, with her, and none of the girls like me at school and it’s — it’s —” She cries into her brother’s chest, his arms covering the entirety of her back as he tightens his hold onto her.
He kisses her hair, pulls up her face so he can kiss her forehead, her freckle right below her eye, her cheeks and even the tip of her nose that she’s sure must be gross. She shoves at his chest lightly, murmuring out don’t be gross, Frankie and he smiles when he kisses down her jaw, her neck, before he bites down at the freckle on her neck. Mel’s hands curl into his shirt, surely enough, his shirt must be dirty from her sobs and the dirt from under her nails. He licks at the mark he left on her neck, and she whimpers, head leaning forward as he continues his pursuit of her.
“I’m here,” is what he says in between kisses, bites, and licks. “Your big brother is here to take care of you now,” are the last words he says to her before she kisses him for the first time, messy and naive with her mouth open and her tongue out. He returns the kiss with abandon, ferocious and possessive.
She preens inside. Of course, her brother is her first kiss. Of course, he would take her like this, demanding and relentless with his need for her. She’s been his since the day she was born, but he’s also been hers since she came into this world.
Under the clear blue skies on a warm April day, here lies Mel and Frank, panting into the other’s mouths, heated and wet from their shared saliva, a line of spit between them every time their mouths separate before they kiss each other once more. All teeth and primal, on top of the grass where they used to play together.
He gets her underneath him, her hair spreading into the earth below them as he kisses down her neck, pulls the strap of her top down as he bites down her clavicle, and she gasps at the sensation, her bare foot kicking his calf. He chuckles into her skin, then kisses the soft flesh of her breast, kissing around her nipple.
Mel hears noises around them, and she realizes the noises are coming from her. She’s begging. Begging for her brother to touch her.
“Please, please, please, Frankie, please please please,” she continues, her hand in his hair, and she tugs sharply, trying to get him to where she needs him.
“I know what you need, bug. Be patient.” He leaves another mark on her skin. He must have me marked up all over, she thinks to herself, hysterically. She can’t wait to look at herself in the mirror later, pulling her top off slowly to reveal the bruises left behind his mouth, his hands.
She continues to plead, her voice reaching a pitch she’s never heard before, when he pushes his thighs between her legs and he pulls her in even closer to her, which feels impossible by this point. Then he pushes his thigh up, up, up into her covered heat, and she shouts. Shouts so loud that the birds sitting on the branches in the tree above them fly away. He laughs, a full belly laugh, and she grinds down on his thigh, the roughness of the denim making her vision white out.
Frank now has his mouth on her breast, sucking her nipple. He gives the same attention to her other breast, teeth pulling on her nipple, as he uses his other hand to squeeze her breast that is now all swollen and puffy.
She can nearly laugh in disbelief if she wasn’t so desperate for him. Mel continues to sob, noises coming out of her mouth now incoherent as she continues to ride his thigh.
“C’mon, bug. Give it to me, take what you need,” he says. She doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Take what? is what she would have asked, but he’s kissing her deeply again, his tongue so deep inside her that she thinks she might pass out.
She only knows some of the sex stuff from what Frank told her. She knows about the birds and the bees. She knows what a vagina is, and what a penis is. But she doesn’t know what this is, he never taught her this.
He’s teaching me now. He licks into her mouth, invites her to bite down on his lip after he bites down hers. She bites him too hard by accident, drawing blood, and instead of him wincing and her apologizing, they fall into another kiss. His blood, their blood, spilling into the other’s mouths.
He positions them differently, she whimpers at the sudden loss of him, but before she knows it, she’s flushed against him again, with her now on top of him. Her left knee is digging into the dirt underneath them. At this different angle, his thigh continues to be below her soaked cunt but now, she can feel his erection against her bare thigh.
He’s hard because of me. My brother is hard because of me. I made my brother hard.
She can’t think anymore. She can barely even see, her eye contact must have fallen out at some point, or maybe she’s too caught up in her brother surrounding her that she can’t focus on anything but him.
“C’mon, bug,” his voice is vibrating against her throat as he bites another hickey into her throat. “Give it to me.”
She’s riding his thigh with reckless abandon, not knowing what she’s seeking but, fuck, it feels so so so good, and he loves her, right? He loves her so much, this is why he’s doing this for her. She would’ve never done this but he knows her, he knows her so well, he knows what she needs that he had to just take it from her, he has to make her his.
Wait. That’s not her voice. That’s not even her thoughts. It’s his words, his mouth against her ear, sucking on her earlobe. Her thoughts aren’t hers anymore.
All of her is his.
She opens her mouth, a scream starting to come out of her that is instantly replaced by his mouth, his tongue muffling her scream. Her vision blacks out, she swears she can see stars. She feels a gush spilling out of her, drenching her Victoria’s Secret lacy panties. She barely even gets back into her own body right when Frank groans out, oh fuck, bug, Mel, my Mel, biting down her shoulder as his thrusts become more shallow, the last final thrust getting her thigh wet.
Mel’s heart begins to slow down, she swears she can feel something wet dripping down between her legs, and she sees there’s a wet mark in the front of her brother’s jeans that got her thigh wet. She looks at Frank with wide eyes, cheeks all pink and rosy. He looks like a mess below her, his hair all unruly and his mouth swollen because of hers. His mouth is still bleeding. For some reason, he looks shocked too, his eyes going up and down her body.
Frank goes to open his mouth, his hand reaching out to take a leaf out of her hair. Suddenly, she panics that he’s about to apologize, tell her he’s sorry, and they will have to return to before. She doesn’t want to go back to the before. He can’t leave her, not again.
She’s prepared to refute whatever point he’s going to say, not wanting this moment to be ruined, but then—
The sliding door opens.
“Kids! Come inside. Your dad got you food from Burger King. I've been calling and texting you guys for the past twenty minutes, but you haven’t responded,” Their mom calls out from the house.
Mel and Frank stare at each other, frozen. Her tits are still out. She looks down and sees that his spit is only starting to cool down on her skin, and there’s marks all over her chest. Her cunt clenches down at the sight, and she feels her brother thrust up into her. She looks at him again, and she sees that he’s staring at her breasts too. He licks his lips.
He wraps her hair around his fist and pulls. She moans, her hips rolling against his thigh.
“Hello!” Their mom peeks her head out, her voice suddenly closer to them. Mel and Frank jump, barely able to make themselves presentable in time before their mom stands out on the patio. She looks at them questionably, taking in the sight of them.
Mel’s heart races. She’s going to find them out, isn’t she? And then the police will come and take Frankie and he will have to leave her again, and Mel will have no one else. She’s going to be all alone again, and she’s going to have to listen to her mom talk about how much she hates being a mother and—
“Frank, you know you guys are too old to be roughhousing now. You should know better,” their mom chastises Frank.
A beat passes. Frank and Mel glance at each other, confused, before they turn back to their mom.
“Sorry,” is all Frank says.
“And Mel, you know it’s not ladylike to be doing this with your brother. You’re fifteen now, you need to act like an adult.”
Mel nods, silent. She knows to stay quiet when their mom gets like this.
Their mom smiles and nods to herself, like she’s congratulating herself for doing something right for once as a mother. “Okay, good. Now come inside. The food’s getting cold.” Their mom goes back inside the house, not caring to look back and make sure they follow after.
They don’t move for a few more moments. Mel’s scared to look at him. Does he regret it?
She stands up, goes to brush the dirt and grass off her clothes, and makes a face as she feels whatever came out of her continue to leak down her thigh. She starts to search for her flip-flops, not knowing where they went until she feels a hand on her back. Mel stops and stands up straight, not turning around. She stays still, can practically hear her brother thinking, before he stands right behind her and pushes her hair to the side so he can kiss the side of her neck. Her head falls back against his, sighing. Frank pulls her closer to him for a moment, licks at the curve of her neck, before he falls back. Finally, she turns to him and sees him adjusting his pants. He’s hard again.
Mel smiles. He loves her! He does!
“C’mon, Mel, let’s go inside. Then we will talk later, in my room, once mom and dad are asleep, okay?” He pulls on her hand and lifts her atop the patio, with her flip-flops in his free hand.
She nods, beaming at him. “Yes, Frankie.”
He smiles back at her and boops her nose. Frank follows after her, using his forearms to climb onto the patio in the very hot way that guys can do. She admires his biceps as he does it. She hopes he will let her bite his biceps later. She always wanted to.
He goes to open the sliding door but stops when she tugs on his hand. He looks at her, curious. Their parents are waiting for them inside.
“Frankie, can you…” She flushes. She’s shy now. She doesn’t know how to ask for it.
A smirk forms on his face. “Can I what, bug?”
She rolls back on her feet, embarrassed. “Can we do that… thing again later?” She doesn’t know what it’s called.
Frank laughs. “Orgasm?”
“Is that what it’s called?”
“Clinically, yeah. Us normal people call it ‘cum’.”
Mel hums, digesting that information. “Can we do that later then? ‘Cum’ together?” She’s greedy now, she’s never experienced that before. Also, she hasn’t seen his penis yet. She wants to know how it looks like. She’s only ever seen penises in pictures, and on those shady porn sites.
He laughs again. “Yeah, sure, bug, we can cum together. We can also take off our clothes later so you can see what it’s like without them on.”
She gasps, all happy. She would like that. “Yes, please! I’d like that very much.”
He glances inside, searching for something, then he pulls her into a kiss. She smiles into it, their teeth bumping. They pull back. She can’t stop smiling.
Frank opens the door, his hand still holding hers, and he lets her inside the house first. Their parents are sitting in the living room, watching TV, not acknowledging their presence. He tilts his head to the kitchen, and she nods, dutibly, and follows after him into the other room. He prepares her plate, making sure to remove the tomatoes and the onions from the burger because their dad forgets how she likes her burger, but Frank never does.
Mel feels like her heart is about to burst out of her chest. Her brother loves her so much. He knows her so well. She watches him grab a glass from the cabinets and pour her a glass of water. She loves him. He’s all hers now. He pulls out a chair and sits down, then pats his lap so she can sit on him. She listens, of course, shifting on his lap until she can feel his erection underneath her and so she can still face him as they eat. He groans and pinches at her thigh, and she giggles.
“Feed me, Frankie?” She feels like a little girl again. His little girl. She didn’t think she can get this back again. Where Frank would feed her food because her mouth was too small for the big bites she would always try to eat on her own. He always knew what was good for her. She just had to wait for him to remember what she needs.
He raises an eyebrow, eyes bright. “Sure, Mel. Whatever you want.”
She kicks her feet, watching him cut her burger into small bites. His burger untouched, because he’s focused solely on her.
“Open for me, bug,” he commands, voice low.
She smiles down at him, thinking about what they just did. Thinking about what they’re going to do after dinner, right after their parents go to bed.
She opens her mouth, and he feeds her with his hands, his fingers getting her saliva all over them. They continue this, with each small bite, him careful to not get her mouth dirty from her sauce, but her not caring whenever she would get his fingers messy from her. They don’t break eye contact once, during this. Just watching each other as she continues to feed from him.
Then, she hears her parents moving. Them turning the television off, and them going upstairs without even saying goodnight to Mel and Frank. They wait there in silence, her plate scraped clean and his fingers greasy from the burger. She hands him a napkin to clean himself with, which he accepts gratefully.
Water running, doors opening and closing, eyes flickering on and off. His burger is cold, neglected, and hasn’t even been unwrapped yet.
“I think I’m ready for bed now, Frankie,” she whispers to him. It’s dark outside now. The only light in the area is the light in the kitchen.
He hums and sucks on his fingers, trying to wipe them clean of any remaining grease left behind from her burger. She watches him, breathless. “You want me to tuck you into bed, bug?”
She nods.
Frank looks at her sternly. “Use your words, bug.”
She giggles, her face falling into his neck before she pulls back and looks down at him, seriously. She hopes he can see her want and need for him in her face. She hopes he feels that for her too. “I want you to tuck me into bed, Frankie.” Her voice is quiet, only for his ears to hear. “I want you to tuck me into bed, and for you to take off my clothes slowly. I want you to kiss me all over, until I feel nothing but you. I want to take your clothes off, touch you like how you touched me, and I want to see how your penis looks like.”
She expects him to laugh when she says ‘penis’, but he doesn’t. He just looks up at her, eyes dark with need. “And then what, bug?”
She thinks for a moment. “I want you to stay here with me. I don’t want you to go back to college, and I don’t want you to go back to Abby. I don’t want you to look at any other girl but me.”
He nods, humming softly. “And then what? Be a big girl, and tell your big brother what you need. What you really need.”
Can he feel her heart racing? “I need us to run away together. Away from mom and dad, away from school, from Abby, from everything. I just need you and me, me and you, together. Forever.”
Frank squeezes the back of her neck, and she moans, mouth falling open. He smiles.
“You got it.”
“Yeah, Frankie?”
“Yeah, bug. Whatever you need. It’s yours.”
“All mine?” She leans down, her lips a few inches away from his. Their breathing intertwining as one.
“All yours.”
They kiss, and kiss, uncaring that their parents can come downstairs at any point.
It doesn’t matter anyway. They’ll be gone in the morning.
