Summary
Five years have passed since Asagiri Gen has been undercover with the Xenan Empire, and four since they assumed absolute control over the Triad, humanity’s three-planet civilization. While stopping planetside for a brief diplomatic meeting, he decides to finally seek out his friends at the Perseus— the same friends that think he betrayed them in cold blood when the resistance failed.

Summary
It was not often Senku needed parental approval: don't get him wrong, he knows his father loves him deeply and unconditionally, sometimes even a tad too loudly, in the boy's opinion.
His father was also, arguably, his number one supporter, willingly ready to commit great self sacrifices to make sure his son could have anything he needed to thrive and expand the wonderful mind he was born with, to experience as much as he could and learn everything he wanted to, allowing him to do things and visit places that would have baffled most adults, all to satisfy his son’s thirst for knowledge.
But even in all his maturity and indipendency, Senku still was, in the eyes of the law, a minor, and that was an irrefutable fact, no matter how annoying it was for the teen.
So, when his school required a parent’s signature on one of its documents and newly wed Byakuya Ishigami had to briefly leave Japan for one of his NASA courses, it left Senku’s new legal guardian to make their appearance on the school’s grounds.
Senku could feel a headache coming.

Summary
Senku has never regretted a choice this much in his life. Genuinely.
The idea of spending the next several hours bundled in a suit, shirt buttoned all the way up and bowtie around his neck has him physically hurting, and he curses the day he agreed with Byakuya’s idea; sure, going to the party would allow him to obtain extremely useful connections and broaden his network, all at the single cost of having to spend the night wearing uncomfortable clothes and having even more uncomfortable conversations with rich, pompous people.
Ugh. Knowing the factors, he’s sure: the upcoming night will be awful.
Or so he thought.
Because, despite his careful planning and pessimistic forecasting, Senku had not accounted for one, small, unpredictable, annoying-ass variable:
Asagiri Gen.

“So you’ve been in love?”
“Of course not.” Gen grins, razor sharp. “It wouldn’t suit someone like me.”
Senku stares at him, and once again, Gen finds it difficult to read him. What could he possibly be searching for? Gen’s poker face is flawless. It’ll take more than a little heartache to unravel him. It’ll take more than the likes of Ishigami Senku.
Senku enlists Gen's help in writing his wedding vows. It's nothing a mentalist can't handle.

Summary
Senku often prided himself on the vast knowledge he’d spent the better part of 24 years on the planet collecting, learning, and mastering. The edification he’d curated for himself knew few bounds; topics never solely devoted to a single subject of interest.
Even still, he’d never been boisterous in said pride—like most assumed he would be upon first meeting him—but more so prideful in the standards he held himself to when assessing a problem, calculating potential solutions, then selecting the most efficient route to pursue based on the expansive knowledge he housed within his own mind.
The one instance he’d ever failed so blunderously in this regard, though, was the day he’d lied to his friends and family about having romantic relations with a completely fictional paramour.
OR
Senku lied about having a boyfriend for a year so his friends and family would let him focus on his and Chrome’s rocket. But when the lie spiraled out of control, collapsing in on itself like a core of subcritical fissionable material being compressed by external variables into a super-dense state, Senku was forced to face the lie he’d woven by attending couples therapy with a stranger.
