Philza is put into an impossible position as three worlds begin to collide, keeping cards clutched tightly to his chest. Tommy is in horrid denial of his eldest brother’s betrayal, and the twins are slowly coming to terms. Life goes on, but it is with gnashing teeth and sharpened blades that it does. We must do what we have to, if only to survive until the truth is at our feet.

“This isn’t the first time I’ve been trapped aboard a strange ship,” he says almost idly, a smile beginning to warm his face as he compares this awful experience with his extended imprisonment aboard Xsdí’s ship, and while the memories aren’t exactly fond, he can find some sense of amusement in the fact that he’s a prisoner once more, feral like a leashed wolf that bites and tears at its restraints.
“You think I’d be better at this by now,” he half-laughs, trying to outrun the suffocating feeling cloying at his throat, the dryness in his mouth, the taste of vomit and bile that reminds him too closely of pod food and the near-untethered thoughts of sharp teeth and the soft flesh of his wrists. Nook’s metal, cold, pressed against his forehead is a good anchor, even if the sharp edge of twisted metal threatens to break his skin.
Or: The Humans want answers. Tommy isn’t sticking around to give them.

The place of Panem is a post-ecological disaster state, the place itself is separated into The Capitol and thirteen districts, which each specialize in producing, cultivating, refining, or procuring different goods.
Every year The Hunger Games are held, where twenty-four children, two from each of the twelve competing districts, between the ages of 12-18, are thrown into an arena and forced to fight to the death. These people are called tributes, which are usually pulled from a lottery system (or what people say are reaped), though at times some may volunteer in place of another.
Unknown to the soon-to-be-announced Tributes of the 72nd annual Hunger Games is that this year the arena will be in the form of wetland. The twenty-four will be faced with challenges within marshes, swamps, fens, mangroves, and really any type of wetland all combined into one large playing field.

Purpled is forced to go to a boarding school. He doesn't want to. But Dream didn't give him a choice, so here he was, and roommates with the one and only Tommy Innit, who just happens to be a Summer.
He's trained himself to keep his Winter magic inside of him, but there comes a point when he just can't keep it inside. And of course Tommy had to witness it, because the annoying blonde couldn't leave well enough alone, especially when it came to Purpled.
But all of a sudden Purpled is forced to make a decision; either fight to keep the very powers he's tried to squish down, or lose them forever.
