Beca is indeed aware that asking the person you’re trying to comfort for assistance is not usually how that works. But, like, when have she and Chloe ever done shit the usual way?

There’s a lilt to her voice, even rough as it is, that makes Beca’s lips twitch before she looks down to find Chloe biting her lip, watery eyes sparkling with amusement.

That being said, she can’t just magically forget anything she’s said in the past 30 seconds.
