Summary
"You had a nightmare, didn't you?"
Ponyboy leaned his head against the train, nodding.
"About your parents?"
Another nod.
Johnny mentally kicked himself. He knew Pony's parents died in a train crash. And he thought Ponyboy looked scared when they got on, scared and sad. But he'd just had too much on his mind to realize why. He shook his head. "I'm sorry, Pony. I should've realized how hard gettin' on this train was for you."
Ponyboy shrugged. "It's alright. We got more important things to worry about."
"You're important too, Ponyboy." Johnny said, looking his friend in the eyes.
Or:
Johnny and Ponyboy have a conversation on the train to Windrixville.
Pony thanks Johnny for saving his life, and admits the fears he had about hopping on the train in the first place. -

Summary
Sixteen-year-old Ponyboy Curtis thought the worst thing he had to hide were the bruises from his boyfriend the ones he covers with shit excuses. But lately, the bruises at home have been getting harder to ignore too. Darry’s stress and frustration have twisted into blooming bruises, something Pony never expected from his oldest brother…and something Sodapop is too scared and stupid to see.
Caught between fear and loyalty, Ponyboy leans harder on the only people who have ever made him feel safe: Johnny Cade and Curly Shepard. But instead of the comfort he expects, Pony finds tension simmering between his two best friends. And then there’s Dally Winston. He and Johnny used to be inseparable, like brothers in a world that never gave them one. Now they can’t be in the same room without something breaking fists, furniture, or each other. No one knows why. Pony doesn’t dare ask.But there’s one thing Ponyboy doesn’t see. Johnny, Curly, and Dally are all in love with him. Each one is fighting their own demons and competing for a boy who’s too busy surviving to notice the battlefield forming around him.As Ponyboy’s world tightens and darkens, hidden feelings sharpen into dangerous edges. Friendships fracture. Loyalties twist. -

Summary
The Shepards had never felt true love. At least, not the kind that makes your chest ache with sweetness so sharp it steals your breath, not the kind that weakens your knees and makes you feel weightless and rooted all at once.
They had known fists and knives, alleyways and slammed doors. They had known hunger that clawed through their ribs, betrayal that cut deeper than steel, anger that kept them alive when nothing else would. But love? Real love? That was a foreign language, something they had only caught in glimpses—mothers holding babies close at the grocery store, a boy laughing with his brother as if nothing in the world could break that bond.
Not until Ponyboy.
And even then, it was strange.
Wrong, almost.
A thing they weren’t built for.
Aka: A compilation of one-shots and two-shots about one of Tulsa’s most dangerous gangs… and Ponyboy Curtis.
Something that shouldn’t have worked out the way it did.

Summary
Ponyboy sank back onto the swing, letting it creak as he swayed with it. Darry leaned against the railing and, this time, it didn’t move. A look of satisfaction appeared on his face, corners of his mouth turning upwards, eyes closed.
The swing moved back and forth in the breeze, squaring softly with each movement. That seemed to snap Darry out of his short-lived, ever-needed moment of peace and contentedness.
His eyes opened again as he examined it. “Maybe tomorrow I’ll make that thing stop creaking,” Darry said, glaring at it.
Pony just shrugged. “I didn’t even notice.”Or

Summary
Ponyboy was still so young—just fourteen, still soft around the edges, and too full of love for a world that hadn’t been gentle with him. Orphaned and aching, he clung to his older brothers with all he had. He gave freely. Unconditionally.
Darry and Sodapop loved him back—deeply, fiercely, in the only ways they knew how. But they forgot something vital:
Homes aren't only broken fists, blood, or broken bones.
Sometimes, a home loses its meaning in the quiet—
when the silences stretch too long, when the affection becomes rare, rushed, or reluctant, when shame replaces tenderness, and when presence becomes performance. This series is full of tenderness, aching warmth, and quiet heartbreak—each part a soft unraveling of how neglect doesn’t always shout… sometimes, it just forgets to hold on.
