"I'm home!"
Remus looked up instinctively.
Harry stood in the doorway with windblown hair, grass stains on one knee of his jeans and a paper bag tucked beneath one arm, his glasses slightly crooked and his face flushed from the summer heat in that wonderfully familiar way that always suggested he had either been running, climbing something he absolutely should not have climbed, or both.
His brow furrowed. "Something strange happened on my way home."
Remus felt his stomach tighten.
"What happened?"
"I saw this really big dog."
"A dog?"
Harry nodded.
"Yeah. Huge. Black. Really skinny..." He frowned thoughtfully before looking back up at Remus. "It was just sitting across the street watching me."
The room seemed to grow noticeably colder.
"It disappeared when I got closer." Harry shrugged. "Weird thing is..." He smiled slightly, completely unaware of the colour draining from Remus's face.
"It looked just like your Patronus."
The mug slipped from Remus's hand.
It hit the wooden floor with a sharp crack, porcelain shattering as tea spread across the floorboards. -

His first fear was that he would be alone, perhaps having forgotten a comment about John going out with a friend that day, or visiting his mother for the weekend. But as he slowly pushed open the door of John’s bedroom, which appeared to be in the exact place he expected it would be, he heard a creak on the floorboards from the next door down, mirroring his own motions.
He locked eyes with a man who looked identical to him, with dark eyes, thick, messy hair, and deep shadows under the eyes, even more intense than they appeared in the mirror after days of little sleep. Even without the ear defenders, sunglasses, or his usual dark blue sweatshirt, it was clear he was looking into the eyes of Sherlock Holmes.

“Are you mental?” he asked instead, and Fred snorted indignantly.
Or; George realises something in his sixth year at Hogwarts. Unfortunately, this realisation involves Harry, who also happens to be Ron’s best friend. There are definitely easier people to fall in love with.

George is stressed out, his overbearing mother's orders finally getting to him (though he'd never admit it), and he is pushing himself way out of his own depth, slowly discovering new things about himself. Flying helps him calm down and he heads out to the pitch one morning to clear his head and is surprised to find the newly single Hufflepuff Chaser.
Cedric is under a lot of pressure to be the golden boy, never messing up or doing anything wrong and he finally snaps, breaking up with his girlfriend, Cho Chang, he feels so much better. That is until one morning he goes for a short early morning fly, and a certain red-headed prankster arrives and rocks his whole world.

but yeah this is a Cedric/George fic because every other one, I read ends with Cedric dying which is really depressing to continue to read yes I know he dies in the actual book but I just want him to live, and be happy ok?

He had tried to have this conversation before, to force the words out of his throat time and time again, at every dinner for the past 3 months in fact, curbing his appetite to the point that even Bill had pulled him aside to see how he was doing, apparently concerned that Percy’s sudden change in eating habits (when exclusively surrounded by 10 or more members of his family) were some strange manifestation of his guilt from the war. He’d almost had to laugh, had he not been so touched by the fact Bill had even bothered to reach out to him. It was a stark difference from the way things had been five years earlier.
And so, Percy found himself sitting at the table with trembling hands as he forced himself to clear his throat. “I…Mother, would it be alright with you if I brought someone to dinner next week?”
