Summary
Grace and Rocky are on their way to Erid after sending off the beetles. Still, a year out, Grace has already run out of food. Desperate and starving, Grace doesn't think he'll survive long enough to reach Rocky's planet when a message comes in from the middle of nowhere in English. Simon both wants to be saved, but doesn't trust the strangers enough to accept their help properly. Unbeknownst to him, he's given Grace the chance to live through the C.O.I and their food stores.

Dean, at his first LARPing event - blame Charlie - meets a real knight in shining armour, and can’t get rid of the guy. His enforced vacation has been taken over by a live fantasy story, complete with dragons.
Dean’s determined to help Castiel get home… until he starts falling for him. It shouldn’t be that hard to convince the guy to stay? After all, who’s going to choose mud and living in your own stink, over memory foam, coffee machines, and a high-pressure shower?

Dean has plenty of mistaken beliefs about witchers. All he knows is that they're 'monsters' who are really not worth your time - unless you have a monster to slay or you're a bard who wants to write a song about the legendary hunters. But these rumours do not stop him from walking right into a monster-infested forest to save one when the opportunity arises.
After doing that, well, Dean can't seem to get rid of the guy. He now seems destined to meet Castiel, though he did wish one of them wasn't always bleeding when it happens. (He also, not so secretly wishes Castiel would screw him one of these days)

Simon thought he'd died. He remembered releasing that stupid black box, he remembered the blood and pain, he remembered Ellie's teeth cracking down on SM-13.
Then he woke up, floating in that hateful submarine, in a pool of blood. Intact. Had that all been some terrible nightmare? Had he failed and was now doomed to die slowly in a portion of the ocean of blood?
Then the speaker that shouldn't be working cracked to life.
"Hello?"

Grace was content with how his life was going. Sure, he was light years away from Earth and all the other humans. But he was alive, he had a best friend and a whole planet that cared for his happiness and well-being. He got to teach once more and had a beautiful view that was created just for him.
But he was lonely. He had Rocky and the other Eridians of course, but he could really do with a cat or something to cuddle and love. Not that anything like that was going to happen -
Wait, why was the ocean bubbling? Was that a voice? Light? What was happening?!

Summary
Grace and Rocky receive a message from Earth, requesting help in engineering a submarine to explore another planet. Rather reluctantly, they agree, and find themselves on a planet of blood oceans. Soon, they learn that their submarine is not being used for what they were told it was, and have been fed lies once again. They're in a race against time to save an unknown convict, unaware of what will come.

Summary
Simon expected the blood ocean to be the last place he would ever see.
Ryland Grace expected the Tau Ceti system to contain nothing except Astrophage, unanswered questions, and the impossible mission waiting ahead of him. Instead, the Hail Mary detects a human signal coming from a moon that should not exist.
Their first contact is little more than a broken voice cutting through the static. Simon is trapped beneath an unexplored ocean, surrounded by darkness and following orders from people he does not trust. Grace is stranded far above him, unable to understand how a human settlement, or an entire moon, appeared light years from where it belongs.
As the connection between them grows stronger, Grace becomes Simon’s only reliable link to the world above, and Simon becomes proof that Grace may not be as alone as he believed. But something is moving beneath the blood, the Consolidation does not want Grace interfering with the mission, and the mystery connecting AT-5 to Astrophage may be more dangerous than either of them realizes.
