Summary
Senhora Alice gets down on a knee to hold him by the shoulders, and the scene of blood and contorted limbs is replaced by her wide, crooked smile.
“Never mind them, Jonas.” She says it in an elated whisper, like it’s a wonderful secret just for the two of them. “They don’t matter. They weren’t meant for you. They were tainted, impure.”
They weren’t meant for you… Impure… Something clicks in Jonas’ head. His ‘foster parents’ may have chosen him, but he did not choose them. “They were unworthy,” Jonas states.
Senhora Alice beams. “Exactly! Oh, Jonas, they didn’t understand…”
She brings her warm, red-stained hands to cradle his face. Her eyes capture his like magnets, and she gives words to something that he has always felt but could never name.
“...You are meant for a purpose that is so much greater than this.”

Or, in a universe where Eugênio doesn't exist, Jonas seeks to be worthy of the purpose his Master—a strange woman named Alice—has promised him. What that "purpose" is, he doesn't know quite yet, but he loves his Mãe! He chose her! He trusts her!

Summary
Careful as not to disturb the thing of beauty sleeping in the next bed over, Labirinto whispers to Jae, “...We’re going to have to explain this to the others somehow.”
At that, Jae rolls his eyes so hard that his whole head rolls with it: “Labiriiiiiinto—”
“Shhh—”
“—why do you have to remind me?” he complains. “What happened to being in the moment. Huh? Can’t you just take a good thing for what it is?”
Jae reaches up Labirinto’s bare chest and lazily walks his fingers up his pec, passing hickies, blurred lipstick, and artful scratches.
“Because this was definitely a good thing.”

Or, after finding a 'new path' with Escarlata, Labirinto lies back in bed and begins to turn over the ramifications of what he and Jae have just done. Jae, in response, offers their unique perspective on the whole matter.

Summary
Jae grins as a bit of amusement curls in them. A mere two hours ago, Aguiar was the 'tough guy' in the club, all broad shoulders and puffed chest. Now he's practically half his size with how much he's shrunk in on himself. "The water gave you a weird feeling?" Jae says with a laugh in their voice.
Aguiar, eyes widening, bobs his head rapidly.
Jae can't help but roll his eyes. "Be serious." (Not so scary now, huh? something in him jeers. The Mutilador, finally bested.) Jae turns back towards the slope. "I'm gonna have a look—"
"Wait!"
A hand closes around Jae's wrist.

“You’re sleeping up here?”
“Yeah,” Aguiar replies. He pauses, and his eyes flicker to Labirinto. “If that’s alright with you. I get if you want to be alone after…everything.”
Part of him does, he thinks. He sent Kemi away for a reason. He needed space to think, away from the noise.
Aguiar isn’t noise, though. And he isn’t the beacon that sheds light on all the answers, either. He’s just…stabilizing. A hand that is offered, then is firm once taken.
“No, it’s alright,” Labirinto replies. “I’d like you to—” He ticks— “stay here.”
Perhaps the honesty of it sounds a bit desperate, but it’s not out of place for them, no.

Or, after their conversation on the roof, Aguiar and Labirinto settle in to sleep---only this time, Labirinto invites Aguiar to sleep on the rug with him. In the end, they wind up closer to each other than either of them could have imagined.

Aguiar, meanwhile, looks at Jasper and sees the potential for this kid to be greater. Instead of being something that is fearful, Jasper can be something that is feared.

My pre-QSMP AU centered around qCellbit! Little Dagger AU was originally created to follow young Cellbit and Bad in The War, tossing in a whole lot of my own world building for fun, but I also decided to rope in my Cellmates/Roommates AU as part of the far-future (but still pre-QSMP) storyline. So, Dagger and Cell are the same AU version of qCellbit!

Summary
A snatch of an old prayer sings through Tony’s veins:
"I confess to almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have sinned through my own fault, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do—"
There is more to the prayer than that. More about the Virgin Mary and the saints and god.
But the bit that always hit Tony, when he was a kid with a kneeler digging into his knees in between church pews, with the scars and bruises of his father’s fingers staining his skin, with a hope in his chest that was being torn apart by the pressures put on him by Howard Stark and Obadiah Stane and the board—
There are so many sins that have buried themselves between his ribs, actions taken by a man who had to suture together a heart of iron.
But it is not God that he needs to ask forgiveness from.
No—the only people that Tony needs to beg forgiveness from are the people that he hurt.
And top of the list is this boy, who he has somehow led to the conclusion that he would ever take his suit away again.
(When Peter breaks down on the anniversary of Ben's death, Tony is there to commiserate—and maybe to help, in his own way.)
