Summary
Eddie edged close enough to spot Steve’s bruised lip, the blood streaking one side of his face. “Jesus, what happened to you, man?”
Steve’s knees buckled, and he slumped heavily onto them. Eddie indulged in a split second of indecision—he could just run away. Then he caught Steve, clumsily, before Steve crumpled face-first into the mud. So, there Eddie was, arms wrapped around platinum dickhead, Steve Harrington. He nodded toward a log. “Okay, big guy, do you think you can make it over to that luxurious couch?”
Or, When rumours run riot that Steve is gay, his life falls apart. Completely by accident, Eddie picks up the pieces, with help from Hopper, who hires Steve to (secretly) babysit Eleven. Trouble is, Steve's still breaking... WHUMPTOBER prompts chp 15 onward.Series

Summary
His parents had told him they had given him too many good things in life, spent their money – their valuable time, just to have their only son end up working at a video store.
So, he's told it's time to make his own way in the world, if he's not going to follow theirs. He didn't realise where he had been driving when he finally pulled up to the small cabin in the forest.
Steve Harrington gets kicked out and finds himself crashing on Jim Hopper's couch, striking up a surprising friendship with Eddie Munson that changes his life and gains a family he never expected to have.

Summary
He throws the car in park and removes the key before leaning forward slightly to rest his forehead on the steering wheel. The car shakes as the kids scramble out of it, slamming the doors closed behind them. Each resulting WHAM sets off fireworks behind Steve’s closed eyelids.
He just needs a minute. One minute of silence. Then, he’ll go inside to wrangle the kids and clean up before Mrs. Byers gets back.
A hand lands on his shoulder and he jumps, whipping his head to see who’s touching him. Pain floods over the left side of his head and down through his neck and shoulders. He presses a hand into his left eyebrow, trying to chase the pain away with the pressure.
Dustin still sits in the passenger seat next to him. His hand tightens on his shoulder, eyes blown wide.
“Steve, hey, you okay?”

“I wish you were worth loving, Steven.” She whispers, and a moment after those words just hang in the air between them Maria is placing the bottle back onto the table with unsteady movements. She’s leaning back down on the couch, laying her body out and resting her head on the armrest of the black leather seat. Steve pushes himself up to his feet as his mother’s eyes slip shut, fluttering to a close as he grabs the throw blanket draped on the back of the couch, carefully placing it over his mother. Maria smiles at him before falling asleep, dead to the world around her and the suffering of her only child.
“I wish I was worth loving too, mama.” Steve’s voice wobbles.

“I’ll talk to you later, Barry, my son just walked in the door.”
For a moment Steve doesn’t react to the words until they actually hit him and he looks around the kitchen and into the living room at the front door, but he doesn’t see neither Will nor Jonathan entering in behind him. As far as he knows, Jonathan is out somewhere with Argyle and Mike is having a day out with El and Max, so who was Joyce talking about?

“Wait.” Hopper looked at Joyce, alarm and confusion pinching his brow as he took the mug she offered. “Steve’s hurt? What happened?”
Another sharp inhale. “I think that uh, he should tell you that one in person. After he gets the help he needs.” There was a sharp edge to Eddie’s voice, one that Hopper hadn’t heard in a long time."
