Jack and the Beanstalk au.
Beat and Rhyme parents are barely able to afford enough to take care of them. In an act of desperation, they decide to sell the family's antique car. A mysterious man exchanges the car for a box that he claims contains something that would bring them great fortune. Instead, what they find inside are nothing but five beans. They plant the beans in the backyard in hopes of growing something to eat. But the beans don't grow any vegetables. And what does sends them to a mysterious place where everything is a lot bigger than them.
Only the first chapter is canon. Every subsequent chapter is an alternate ending.
The first three chapters are fairly pg. But chapters 4 & 5 are where the M rating comes into play.

Summary
A boy wakes up alone one day with no memories and is found by a man named Xemnas, who gives him the name Roxas, and takes him in to join this group called Organization 13. Roxas knows three things: he's a Nobody, he's Sora's Nobody, and his purpose is to help collect the hearts they need to summon Kingdom Hearts and gain their own hearts someday. He doesn't fully understand any of this, but he doesn't mind too much. Everyone in Organization 13 treats him well and he likes having a purpose.
But one day he meets someone the Organization refers to as a "puppet." Someone who was made to replicate a keyblade wielder's powers. And she makes him slowly start to realize something isn't quite right about the relationship he has with the people in the place he calls home.
