Hoseok pouts as he stares in the mirror, head cocked to the side. His gaze sweeps over his stretched out wings, well as much as they can be ‘stretched out’ in their compact bathroom, and finds that he doesn’t like what he sees; it had been a while since he had groomed his wings last, or had someone groom his wings, and so his usually light chestnut brown feathers looked dusty and dirty. Determined to have them groomed Hoseok asks Yoongi, and ends up getting more than what he bargained for.

“Oh, you think I’m undermining you somehow by taking your side?” Yoongi asks, almost appalled.
“You weren’t taking my side. You were making me look weak,” Hoseok snaps. As the words leave his mouth, he can feel his anger burying itself deeper inside him. He wishes he could just grab Yoongi’s collar and do something that he would likely regret.
“Was I?”
“Yes, of course, you were.”
“So, what are you doing now?” Yoongi takes a step closer to him, his chest almost touching Hoseok’s arms. “Chasing after me so you can gain back some of your self-respect?”
“In a way,” Hoseok replies as nonchalantly as he can manage.
Among the four wolf heirs, Hoseok, as a human, stands out like a sore thumb. Entering the most prestigious university alongside the other successors feels the perfect time to finally find his place. Mystery lingers, though, and his petty rivalry with Yoongi gnaws at him until his buried feelings slowly resurface.

Summary
The sound of shoes scratching against the road and a big sigh is Hoseok’s signal to look up at the officer above him, gazing in a very particular way. It’s the gaze that gets him what he wants: men on their knees or bent over for him, often begging for him.
“Officer Min Yoongi-ssi,” Hoseok pronounces his name carefully, seductively. “Are you here to arrest me again? Will you handcuff me this time? Why don’t you join me in the back of your car for once?”
“Still got that filthy mouth of yours, I see,” Yoongi observes factually without much emotion.
Hoseok likes trouble and Yoongi. Mostly Yoongi. But not enough to be emotionally vulnerable with him.

“Do I?” A burst of embarrassed laughter slips past Hoseok’s lips. He hardly had the opportunity to shower yesterday, but he still says, “Thank you.”
Yoongi’s fingers uncurl and they press against Hoseok’s stomach as his mouth moves against the crock of his neck, “Yeah, you smell like me.”
An arrow and a death can change everything. Hoseok didn’t think he would ever cross the creek that separates the human tribe from the wolf pack, but when fresh blood is sticking to his clothes and a wolf howls for revenge, the only person who might be able to save him is his alpha best friend, Yoongi.
