Shakes though he knew all about how rotten football can be.
It was hard not to. After going against teams like Invincible United and Technicali, he thought he's seen it all. Robots, false ghosts, hypnosis- he figures there's nothing that anyone can do to surprise him.
However, one encounter on a cold night after a game caused Shakes to be aware of things beyond cheating on the field and team sabotage, something that no player should ever face alone. Especially without help from the law. Burdened with this new knowledge, he has to thwart even deadlier sabotages and attacks from outside forces to keep his team and rivals alive and safe-
Or die trying.
Now if only said teammates and rivals would stop crowding him and leave him alone, that would make his job so much easier.

Summary
In a world where anomalous people are considered dangerous until they're reigned in, what would happen when all known methods fail to control someone? Are they left alone in fear of provoking them or do the world just decide they're dead from the moment they're born? Does someone count as truly alive if every breath got them closer to their end?
These are the kind of questions that refuse to leave his mind as soon as Shakes found out about his true nature. Too aware of how precarious his position is in the world. Knowing the fear and connotations that come with holding the abilities he has. That all it would take is for him to make one wrong move before he has the government breathing down his neck, staring at him like he was about to explode and take down the world down with him.
And then living with the fact that all it takes is for one bad day for him to do exactly that.
After all, why should he continue to walk through a world that already thought of him as a ghost?
Is one truly alive if their own existence marked them for death?

Summary
Odysseus of Ithaca had always been different. Relying more on intelligence then strength, cunning over pure power, he had always stood out. But, he never realized how much he stood out until he left the safety of his kingdom to fight in the war.
Using his charms to get what he wanted was all well and good, but not if it gained some unwanted attention. After all, he never learnt how to tone it down and now, he's starting to realize that some people might take his actions as further than he ever intended. Add to that a mysterious God that had blessed him with a power that he never knew he had and he was in for the wildest ride of his life.

Post-Macau, the Horsemen are finally settling into a routine. But Dylan is still hurting from what happened those days before New Year's Eve. Daniel is emotionally unavailable and the others just don't know what their leader isn't telling them. When a friendly face from Dylan's past reappears, he jumps at the chance to not need to be a leader for a little while. But Dylan's friend had disappeared for a reason.

This is so good! The insight into Dylan's mind as that was going on is a 10/10. I've always wondered how he managed to keep his cool even though he had to play the fool and get treated like an idiot. Man's got emotions of steel, I'll give him that. And of course, having fun definitely makes things easier.
