Summary
Even with Phil’s limited knowledge of Techno’s past, the man was more like a son to him than a crewmate. The man’s instinctual urge to protect is more than helpful as his role as security on the ship. Often he could go overboard, but it wasn’t unknown, every crewmate that joined them was aware of Techno’s proclivity for safety. To be fair most temporary crew mates steered clear of Techno and Tommy, both known for their hostile home planets and their species' inclination for violence.
Phil understood their responses, he did, but the list of incident reports he had to submit to the intergalactic board was becoming a bit problematic. Especially since most of them were incidents ‘conveniently’ including Tommy and by extension Techno.

Techno is in a space ship, and conveniently sick. Will the S.S.BI treat him the same way the last crew did? Will they force pills down his throat? Better safe than sorry.

Summary
The heir to the throne was left crumpled in a dingy prison cell. Whether it be information, political power, or a ransom, it didn’t particularly have a good outlook for Wilbur’s comfort. Wilbur felt more like a glorified lab rat.
At least he was safe in the cell until the guards returned. In the back of the dim cell a figure kneeled on the stone floor, completely collapsed on themselves with their head resting on the ground. It took several moments for Wilbur’s eyes to adjust to the darker part of the cell, seeing that the man was not sitting there of his own volition.
Both hands were shackled, chains holding his arms extended to either side of the man. Similarly, there seemed to be a collar locked around what little of his throat Wilbur could see. The man’s head shifted enough to show his blood-red eyes peaking through the greasy curtains of his hair.

Wilbur, the heir to the Antarctic empire, is captured and imprisoned by the enemy kingdom. His roommate (cellmate) is a brooding piglin brute with murder in his eyes.Series

Summary
The building that they were responding to was a 2-story family home with a basement. Reports of smoke and flames being sighted by a neighbor, none of the family that owned the house accounted for at the moment.
As they pulled to a stop at the curb Tommy and Techno were already out of the truck, both of them pulling their masks and helmets on as they approached the house. Phil and Wilbur knew their jobs, that was nothing Techno needed to worry about, Tommy, however, was a major concern. He knew his job, and he listened intently when out on calls, but Techno couldn’t live with himself if Tommy got injured on the job.

Summary
It took a lot longer than Phil thought for Techno to come home. Nearly three months after that world-shattering phone call Phil was finally allowed to see his baby boy.
Nothing could prepare Phil for the sight he saw walking into that hospital room. His little boy lay on an uncomfortable hospital bed, blankets pulled up to his shoulder. Techno lay on his side, eyes drilled into the wall, not even noticing Phil’s arrival.

Summary
Tommy was the first one to notice, his careful childlike curiosity getting the best of him as he hesitantly pointed out the blistering rash on Techno’s palms. The young blond easily took the excuse that Techno accidentally grabbed some poison ivy when he was harvesting flowers. Techno knew Wilbur wouldn’t believe that excuse, Phil would immediately catch on to what was happening.
Poison ivy, a common irritant, was useless against Techno’s skin. Growing up bounding through fields and meadows riddled with it proved that. A fae’s flesh is uniquely built against poison ivy and poison oak among a variety of other plants.

Summary
They had walked for what could have easily been an hour before the trail turned more rigorous, while it was a bit intimidating Techno took the time to allow Tommy to take breaks. It wasn’t demeaning as Tommy expected, Techno taking the time to check up on him, ensuring he was drinking enough water or giving him trail mix to snack on to distract himself.
Techno kept track of where they were on some complicated-looking map, he and Phil previously discussed a location to camp out. It was pretty close to a lake that they could go fishing in, an easy meal that they didn’t have to carry with them.
And while Tommy had his expectations he didn’t expect it to be so pretty. The trees, Techno called them aspens, were tall and beautiful. The blue lake peeks through the branches as the wind blows them.

Summary
A grimy blond ran into Phil’s side. The kid was probably no older than 12, grimy and gaunt, a street kid. It was not unknown that L’manburg had a homeless population that rivaled almost every city in the region.
Phil’s eyes caught the boy's stunning blue eyes only to get distracted by a similarly dirty and starved kid, 16, maybe. he brushed past Phil, apologizing for his brother’s clumsy behavior.
Phil quickly assured them that it was no one's fault and that it was a busy street so it was inevitable.
What wasn’t inevitable was someone’s hand disappearing from under his cloak. It was almost surprising the pickpocket had gotten this far

Techno playfully chased after, shouting taunts at the boy.
The sound of a bone-chilling crack echoed through the air. Both Ranboo and Techno immediately froze as they looked at one another with wide eyes. Phil, who presumably also heard it was suddenly standing alert.
“Techno.”
“You’re alright Boo, keep looking at me.” With a quick shuffle of feet, Techno glanced down, the snow shifting to reveal cloudy white glass. Neither of them were safe if they remained on the ice

Summary
The sound of shattering glass seemed to echo through the almost silent house. Like the occupants, the walls try to absorb the sound before it filters into the nearby living room. Luck had never been on their side, however, the sound of the football game came to a screeching halt as it was paused.
More of a reflex at this point Techno picked Tommy up under the arms, lifting him over the broken cup he had accidentally dropped. Phil, who had just opened the door, coming home from work understood what had happened in a near instant.

Summary
It didn’t take long for the guards to come knocking on the royal suite, not waiting for a reply as multiple filtered into the room. Techno knew his role. Knew his place. Without hesitation, he drew his sword from his scabbard that rested on his hip. “Put the sword down kid, no one needs to get hurt.” Foolish men, he would die for his master long before he listened to their commands.
These men were obviously better trained than Techno was, bigger in all ways but height. Actual food supporting their muscle growth, food Techno hadn’t been allowed. “Drop the sword Swine.”
Techno’s hand spasmed as it released the sword’s handle as if it burned him.

Summary
The footage linked was grainy and static, the image fluttering around as it was repositioned. The man working the camera was dressed in complete black, a gaiter concealing the lower half of his face. Dread coiled around Phil’s gut as the man stepped to the side, allowing the camera to try to refocus on the other subject.
Seated in a metal chair sat Techno’s slumped body, a head wound obvious in the way blood clung to the black balaclava staining it darker. If this was a ransom message these fuckers were going about it weirdly.
No, this wasn’t a ransom. This was an interrogation.
Or; Techno is taken hostage, and the entire torture session is videoed and sent to his teammates (read: family)

What the paramedic described as a “little poke” felt more like a canon ball being forced between his ribs, the pressure in his chest building and building as Techno unashamedly sobbed. While Eli may have lied about one thing he didn’t lie about being able to breathe easier, a very quiet hiss leaving his chest Techno took a heaving gasp in as he could finally take a semi-normal breath.
“Dad.” Techno wasn’t even embarrassed as Eli pulled away, inserting a needle into the crook of Techno’s arm. “I want my dad”
“Can you tell me his name bud?”
“Phil, I want Phil. I don't wanna die.” His hysteria quickly devolved into Techno coughing harshly, fresh blood seeping from his lips, clogging up his throat as he gagged around another cough.

When he woke up this morning Techno was sure he had gotten ill. The night guard shift he picked up a few nights ago during the worst rainstorm this year probably didn’t help. The feeling of cotton and fog filling up every corner of his startlingly heavy skull. Every bone and joint ached and screamed for relaxation. Which was admittedly extremely tempting.
Instead, Techno rolled out of bed, chugged multiple glasses of water in an attempt to stop the throbbing ache, and then strapped the heavy armor to his body. He had a schedule to keep to, a job to complete. When two maids entered the princes' room Techno was already standing at the ready between the two bedroom doors.

Summary
Perhaps Techno shouldn’t have folded so easily. If he hadn’t he wouldn’t have ended up where he was now.
At some point in getting semi-settled in the Watson house the feelings of anxiety had switched from the unknown to a need for approval. The feeling after Phil would compliment him or give him a proud smile was euphoric and addictive.
Techno could admit he didn’t have many redeeming qualities or skills. While most teens were working on hobbies and solidifying their personalities, Techno was dodging fists from foster parents. Hiding in the guest room they had gifted him and constantly changing his personality to fit what they expected from him.

“What got you out here so late, is your pack okay?” Even if it was mildly annoying he woke up so late Phil couldn’t stop the concern from bleeding into his voice. “Tubbo? Ranboo?” This wouldn’t be the first time Schlatt had asked them to help heal his sick pups and packmates.
“Everyone's fine.” Schlatt visibly winced, almost flinching away from his own words. “From my pack at least.” Even as he sat down on the steps alongside Phil it was clear Schlatt was exhausted. His shoulders hung heavily and the bags under his eyes dark. “The coven on the north side of my lands. They have been known to be hostile in the past. Young coven, fresh blood, feels like they have something to prove.”

“I met up with them in hopes of coming to a compromise. Phil, they have a familiar.” Schlatt sniffed, rubbing his eyes while glancing away. Trying to hide his tears with little success. “I can’t help them, I have 0 jurisdiction.”
“Why would they need help?”
