Summary
The fireworks lit up the night with vibrant, colorful trails, like brushstrokes of paint in a work of art that stretched across the sky after the end of the wonderful aerial and musical spectacle by the Tantsorys Aéreos. A moment of pure joy and fun organized for the festival commemorating the founding of Vos. Something he had made sure that both she and he would enjoy.
Hashtag laughed as she ate an old Vosian delicacy —An authentic and homemade one!— that he'd bought for her at one of the stalls located right below their peds, several floors below the rooftop from which they were watching the show: the Starling Tower, at its highest point, from the spire-shaped glass dome, one of the best views.
She looked at him and gave him a calm, gleeful smile, her optics sparkling in the reflection of the tinted, colorful light from the fireworks show.
He smiled back at her, delighted that she had enjoyed the show. Because he knew she would.
He felt that, for the first time in a long time, he was at peace, both with the world and with himself.
His spark felt light and warm.
He could stay like this forever.
He would like to stay like this forever.

Kakashi was tired.
A couple times he still second guessed himself. Wondered if it would be better to fail the team and let whatever happens to them happen.
But every time he saw the photo of his old team, he remembered why he couldn’t.
He couldn’t let that happen to them. This system had already screwed them over. The people who were supposed to care for them had done the opposite.
Kakashi wasn’t going to be another adult who let these kids down.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen. And maybe I’ll only make things worse…” Kakashi murmured softly to the framed photo at his bedside. “…But I have to try.”
He had to. Or these pups were as good as dead.
OR: Kakashi realizes how bullshit it is that Team Seven was even a team in the first place, and does things differently. Screw Hiruzen for putting him in this position.

Summary
In one world, Kakashi awoke, felt grieved at being assigned a team he sees his own in, and he let that grief make him a lazy teacher. He saw himself in Sasuke, Obito in Naruto, and Rin in Sakura. He woke, saw himself in them, and took a large step back, regretting accepting them as his new team. In another world he was quite hands off, merely a watcher because it was so very painful to watch. He saw himself and all his mistakes in this new team of his.
In this world, Kakashi awoke, saw the similarities, and instantly panicked. He suddenly realized what he had done, passing a team. Kakashi was left scrambling not to repeat old mistakes and regrets. This team would not suffer the fate of his team.
In this world, simply put, Kakashi became a teacher. This is the starting of a new Team seven.

Kakashi, deciding to be a good teacher, comes to the fantastic conclusion that he has to put his newly accepted Genin team through some Naked and Afraid-type shit for them to bond like a team (One in which they tolerate each other) (they're not actually naked... Only in underwear, still awkward though)
Worst part? It actually worked
I'm looking for this to reread because I love the premise and the fic that follows.
