Only one month into staying at the Wheelers', Jonathan can't help but feel like he's overstayed his welcome. With him and Nancy having problems, each day in the house feels more and more like divine punishment for being an absolute jackass.
Steve has been coping, cycling through jobs with Robin that he can't seem to keep. Despite not having to worry about the end of the world anymore, he can't bring himself to move on. The problem is, everyone else has.
When Jonathan reaches out to Steve for a favor, they end up having exactly what the other needs.

The rules were practical at first. He aligned their shifts to make make transport easier. He took Frank's phone for safekeeping when Frank couldn't be trusted not to text Abby. Every move, every night, every restless impulse kept safely under Robby’s supervision.
But Frank responded so beautifully to correction. He grew quiet beneath Robby’s hands, pliant across his lap, and increasingly relieved to let Robby decide what he needed.
The more control Robby provided, the more Frank seemed to need it.It was care. It was recovery. It had to be.
