"Barbara Gordon," The kid that broke into her house greets her, almost like a supervillain if not for the borderline starstruck expression on his face, "I… I know you're paralyzed, and can't help on the field, but I don't know what to do and I can't just do nothing and I'm not making Dick come back to an abusive situation, he doesn't deserve that, and you don't deserve that either, but you haven't really left, I don't think, and I'm not really asking you to go back, I just, I need help, and you're smart. You'd know what to do."
"Pause," Barbara said, holding up one of her hands and using the other to massage her temple, "What are you talking about?"
The kid flushes, ducking his head. "I'm so sorry! I had a script and everything and then as soon as I got here I just forgot it!" He clears his throat and looks back up at her with a determined expression "I know you're Batgirl and I really, really need your help because Batman's lost himself in his grief and Gotham can't take him."
OR,
Batman is abusive, so instead of going to Dick Grayson, Tim Drake goes to Barbara Gordon when searching for a solution to Bruce's grief spiral.

Summary
Well, Tim is resourceful, even if he’s a cat now. Bruce is still on patrol and won’t be back for a while, but Dick and Damian are both at the manor. Tim will make his way there, tap out morse code to explain what happened, and then they’ll get him turned back into regular ol’ Tim.
All in all, this will just be a minor setback.

Summary
Jason's attack on Titan's Tower is derailed when Robin, instead of fighting back, tells Jason that if he isn't going to take Robin, then he can kill him. The confusion is enough to give Jason pause, and he realizes that Tim's experience as Robin is far, far different than his was.

A blinding flash lit up the alley below, blinding him.
Jason yelped, “GAH—!” and flailed mid-air. His grappling line snagged late, making him slam awkwardly onto the opposite ledge. He skidded, boots scraping brick, landing in a graceless tangle of cape and limbs.
“Okay,” Jason wheezed, untangling himself. “What the hell—”
He whipped his head around, scanning the shadows. And there it was. Or rather... there they were. A kid.
Jason’s jaw dropped. “Are you— did you just flashbang me with a Polaroid?!”
OR:
Five times Jason met a tiny stalker, and the one time he forcefully adopted him.
