Summary
Following a violent riot, Prince Alistair is stabbed and left for dead in the palace gutters. He drags himself into the slums known as the Midden, where a gang of six street children find him bleeding out in an alley. They drag him to their hideout and must decide quickly whether to rob him, sell him to the hunters already kicking down doors across the district, or try to keep him alive long enough to discover if a broken prince is worth more than the bounty on his head.

None of them are heroes. All of them stay anyway.
They run toward a door that leads beneath the world. They find other people, who join them on their quest. This is a fantasy story, first and foremost. Swords and sorcery. Ash and ice. A party, scattered but unbroken, finding each other in the dark — and discovering that the dark finds them back.

I declined when I learned the entry requirement was "must be actively fucking up at all times."/jk These are the scripts they never got because they were too busy making Will cry about being "different" for six minutes and calling it representation. Byler happens here. El gets a goodbye that isn't an argument. Eddie survives because I said so. Bob fucking lives actually.

One has an ascot, a fracturing self and gravity magic. The other has golden armour, repression, and light and dark magic.
Both women are nobles and both have something to hide. Both realise that they're more honest around the other without meaning to be.
A being beneath the underground outpost where they are both stationed needs Teigra to defend it, but won't say why or how. It communicates in cryptic instructions delivered only to Teigra's original soul, beneath the AI overlay.
The Confederacy at large wants her decommissioned unless she gets the results they want.
She must find the Sleeper - and herself - or die trying.
Plot complete. Brief hiatus. I've left it on about as nice as ending as I can manage. Yes, they do kiss.
