Beta Calamity-Talvi Schweet_Heart
When Arthur finds Merlin in the woods three weeks after he goes missing he is overjoyed. However Merlin is not the same and Arthur resolves to stand by him during his long recovery. Over the course of such he thinks he realizes what actually happened to Merlin, While he is wrong the aftereffects of his theory will lead to more than one secret being revealed.
Warning: While Arthur thinks Noncon occurred to Merlin it actually did not. As such I do include the tag of it but not the actual checkmark warning.

Merlin dissolved into chuckles again, and Arthur watched him, a small smile in his own lips....
The king has feelings for his ridiculous sorcerer, they finally talk bout the past, and Merlin saves Arthur once again, not necessarily in that order.

“Merlin has magic!” Uther announced desperately. Arthur lowered the horn.
“I know,” Arthur admitted, looking his father in the eyes. He tried not to falter at the shock and disappointment that crossed Uther’s face. He made eye contact with Merlin over Uther’s shoulder. “I love him anyway.”
This can technically be read as a stand alone fic but for context of how they got together and how Merlin revealed his magic, there’s the first fic in this series.
