“In time, you will find everything easier than you have before. You ought to be thanking me,” he smiled.
“For what?” Scaramouche dared to spit, his voice laced with venom. “For kidnapping me? For luring me out with a kid? You’re a sick fuck.”
“Such colorful language,” Dottore laughed, leaning against the wall with his arms folded across his chest. “I wouldn’t say you were kidnapped. You were just removed from one home and placed in another. I’m doing you a favor, really.”
Scaramouche snorted, “Yeah, right. You’re a sick fuck.”
“So I’ve heard before,” Dottore shrugged, checking his watch. “You still need some time to adjust, I see. You’ll spend some time down here until I finish preparing. Collei will periodically check up on you throughout the night.”
“You’re leaving me down here?” Scaramouche questioned, his voice suddenly small and his heart thrumming against his ribs. Panic settled under his bones as Dottore cleaned up and ascended the stairs. “You can’t—you can’t just leave me down here, you bastard! I can’t!” he sputtered.

He thought that he felt things towards Zandik, he really did. He thought that he trusted him, thought that he liked him, and yet for some reason, at this moment, all he feels is this numb yet tingling feeling in his hands and cheeks, like ice is being actively injected into him.
“What are you doing?” he asks, to Zandik, who has pushed him down on his own bed. There’s a strange, animalistic glint in Zandik’s eyes, and Scaramouche doesn’t recognize his face as he replies.
